BA Narwhal is one I've not yet enjoyed. But Yeti, especially OA Yeti, wow. I really wish I could try the barrel-aged Yeti.

The regular is very good, the BBA version is a taste of heaven.

I love imperial stouts. Some of my favorites are Parabola, BA Narwhal, KBS, Founders Breakfast Stout, Founders Imperial Stout, Narwhal, and Old Rasputin.

Right now I'm looking forward to trying 2014 The Abyss and Black Tuesday, was able to score a few bottles from the Bruery. I look forward to Parabola every year.

My personal favorite non-BA stout is Big Black Voodoo Daddy. I've never drank a big stout faster than that one. 12% bomber was gone in under 15 minutes. Gulped the hell out of that one. So good.

I just picked up 2 bottles of Rye BA Old Rasputin. That's been a personal whale for me for a few years now. Don't plan on drinking it until a few winters from now. My go to imperial has got to be 10-50, mostly decause it is relatively easy to find. Still looking for the BA version though.

Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti is a solid choice as well. No adjuncts, just a big imperial stout aged in oak barrels to smooth things out. Delicious.

While I thoroughly enjoyed BA Narwhal, I did think that the $20 price point was a bit high. Especially for a Sierra Nevada beer. They're usually one of the better bargains for beer so when I saw the price I was surprised.

It's not a style I drink often, but when I do, AleSmith Speedway Stout, Dieu du Ciel Péché Mortel, and Goose Island Bourbon County Stout blow me away every time.

Count me among those who think it might just be the best non-barrelled imperial stout I've ever had.

Yeah you are paying more for the bottle and the barrel than the beer in it.

People continue to pay it though, hence why it's the price

The only one I've tried is 10.fidy, I remember having a few Guinness back in the day and those were not sweet at all were 10.fidy is liquid candy with a pile driver at the end. I put two away to see how well it mellows out. Oh I had old Rasputin too, I think I liked that one better.

You are in for a treat. Haven't tried BA Narwhal, but I have to say I wasn't impressed with regular Narwhal. Expedition is really strong fresh. At six months it was great, just had one about a year old, and it is outstanding. I am sitting on 4 more, going to experiment every 6 months to a year, see how much better it gets. Ten Fidy is a unique treat. It's like drinking a stout milkshake. Well, a completely melted stout milkshake. Been a while, time to revisit.

Am I correct in assuming you are from Horseheads? My parents are in Binghamton, so I send them lists of beers to look for. Coincidentally, they called from Wegmans 5 minutes ago to tell me the current Bell's selections. No Expedition yet, they never say the 30th. Anywho, do you know of any other bottleshops in the greater Binghamton area? They won't go to Sam the Beer Man, as they are never in that part of town. Apparently they have better things to do than beer shop for me. Any local brews I should have them pick up for me?
