Honestly I haven't had a bomber in awhile.
I realized this when I went to the beer store
and hardly glanced at the bomber section.
I then thought when was the last time I had
one? This from a guy who's beer consumption
1/2 the time were bombers in the past. I found
I could drink great beer in other formats other
than bombers. Plus they aren't cost efficient
for what you get IMHO. Now I'll probably grab
an Enjoy By or some other bomber now and then.
But not nearly as often as I used to.

    How about you?

I'm long on record as hating the 22oz format.

I make it a point not to buy bombers even if it's something I really want. Guess I'm just a cheap bastard

I think it depends on where you are. I live about 20 Minutes from Cigar City and everything in Bombers by them is totally worth the price. I do agree with you on most of the everyday drinking beers though, but almost everything in my cellar is a bomber.

I too found bombers not economical, but, I will get "certain beers" as bombers tho

I prefer 12 ounce cans/bottles but there are some world class beers only available in bombers. If every beer came in 12 bottles/cans, I'd never buy a bomber again.

Although I prefer the 12 oz, I am not going to pass on a beer I want because it's bombers only

I prefer pints for all beers. Either cans or bottles are fine.

Bombers aren't economical but what is with this hobby or disease?

Agreed. I haven't had one in a while. 8 Maids A Milkin' is sitting on the shelf and I just walked by it just glancing and not giving it a thought. *Shrug* at $12.99 + 2 something tax, no thanks.

I'm totally with you. When I first got into beer I would buy lots of bombers because I wanted to try every beer that got love on this website. As I've gotten older I've realized how big the price margin between them and packs of 12oz bottles is so I only go in for a bomber if it's something I really want or I see it for a great price.

The only bombers I've had were either very cheap or given to me.

Not my preferred format. However, with certain releases I have no choice as there is none given.

I do like hte move towards cans..but some of those special/seasonals etc are still only in bombers. the question is $0.50-$1 per ounce worth it? and do you know of any comparable beers that come in 4/6 packs for pretty much half the price per ounce.

    Hello Bombers!

I buy them over 12oz everytime, I prefer them ( 750ml to be honest ), and they are more economical for me.

    Why?

Because I generally drink two beers in sitting. So one (bomber) and done. And once I have any given beer, I don't revisit it for months, at best. So if I buy a six pack of an IPA, have one or two, and don't revisit it until its past its prime.

Bombers work well for those of us frequently rotate what we drink.

I just like beer no matter what it comes in. They could sell Grimm Double Negative in an old boot and Id buy it.

I used to buy them all the time. Now I realize the only bombers worth the price are Lagunitas.

The only beer I seek out in a bomber is Hop Stoopid but come to think of it, I haven't had one in a while. Thanx.
