According to their Instagram, Street Green will be pouring at Covenhoven.

To be sure, the line was long -- I was there between 7:30 and 11. I saw some drinking, but it was fairly well concealed. Luckily no line-cutters where I was. OH did a good job by adding a second POS and wrapping the line around the wall in the bar area. The muffuletta sandwich was delicious.

The imperial stout -- We're Out Here in Orbit -- was delicious. Is that's what rumored to be coming in bottles?

Next release, in two weeks, is Simcoe and Hop Showers.

Very clear that some people in line and posting in here just don't "get it."

Mainly that clown talking about how it's 2015 and it's okay to smoke weed in line.
    Lol. Get real.

What people are doing in line reflects on the establishment they're patronizing and the neighborhood/police aren't going to tolerate Idiotic stuff like open containers and drug use...on a Saturday morning.

It's just disrespectful, pointless, and potentially damaging on several different levels. I mean if you can't stay sober for 3 hours on a public sidewalk on Saturday morning, then maybe you need to rethink things.

Other than that, great beer, great service, and great pancakes from McDonalds..

    Oh, really?

This is a beer release. Do people not drink in line at beer releases at Epic in Utah? They do.

The plants are literally related and the beer is called street green.

And where the brewery is located is called a neighborhood.

    Have some fucking respect.

First off, you're a total fucking douche.

Do you live in the area? No. Lets get a group of 300 overwight beer geeks at 7am to wait outside your apartment and smoke bud and drink beers and be as loud as possible on a fucking saturday. Its about respect. Lets see how you like it.

And Utah is not NYC. Theres less people who live in the entire state of Utah then people living in the greater NYC region. Your comparison is usless.

While I wasn't there, and don't condone being loud and obnoxious (I hate those people), are people in here really bitching about some people smoking weed outdoors? While it's currently illegal, yes, get a grip. It won't be for too much longer.

But to claim it as "drug use"...pffff, get off your high horse.

Sorry, that is not what they are bitching about. It's about Other Half possibly getting screwed by the cops/neighbors if there is some kind of incident related to drug use and/or open containers. I personally have no problem with puffing outdoors but not when there is a huge crowd that is going to be drawing a ton of attention.

I didnt claim it as "drug use". I smoked for 15 years and only stopped for a job. Im not saying shit about smoking bud but to call people out for getting mad about people doing it in public in a neighborhood at 9 fuckin AM is childish.

I got shut out showing up at my usual time for Other Half releases. Should have come earlier but did not expect the masses, 4 hours later I left empty handed. All in all, only about 60 people didn't get Street Green cans. That's pretty damn impressive for rationing on Other Half's part. Matt came out multiple times and I think they know how fucked a situation a big showing can be in their location. Time will work out the kinks. Other Half is a victim of its own success. I can't hate them for my ill preparation of the clusterfuck. Cheers to the people drinking Street Green!

Dude, did I quote your post? No, I didn't. A post a few above yours absolutely claimed it as "drug use", so back off. Calling people out? I didn't "call anyone out". I made a comment about people's reaction to something that isn't that big of a deal. You calling people a "total fucking douche" and "childish" over some comments on a message board is pretty sad. You're not that cool.

Other Half is not going to be held responsible for people smoking weed on a sidewalk.

Alright, so while the mod's are pondering whether or not to shut this thread down; Street Green = Dank, Resiny, Bitter...More of an OH influence (IMO)

jfc weed people who act as if they're doing everyone a favor by smoking weed around them. i am glad you think because weed is so awesome and 420 420 etc that the community board will think it's the same as cigarettes and not say "wow there are a bunch of derelicts who are getting high outside this place at 8am" when their license comes up for renewal.

I'm blown away that so many people on this forum think it's acceptable to smoke weed on line at a beer release, particularly when the brewery is located right next to people's homes.

I smoke weed regularly, if that matters.

Am I correctly interpreting their last Instagram post that a new batch of Street Green will be on tap in the tasting room on Wednesday?

No reason to shut this thread down. OH threads have been around for a long time, lots of great info in them and useful discussion. Days like today should be talked about as releases and associated behavior at OH and other places should have a light shined on them.

Seems that way. That's exciting news - maybe I'll go to the tap room Wednesday, or swing by Covenhoven which is also going to have it.

HF doesn't have a club. They've done lotteries for some releases. Casey did the essay thing for their club.

...and the Alchemist wasn't responsible for traffic jams on rt.100 & Crossroad, blocking driveways, and parking in neighboring business's parking lots and look how that worked out. OH is in a residential area. You really don't think there's any problem with drinking and smoking weed in front of someones home? because you wouldn't do it in front of my house believe me.

Of course they will, although it is not directly their fault, quality of life issues because of irresponsible behavior by selfish and entitled beer douches will result in the local businesses and residents who have influence having the place shut down if worse came to worse.
