Now I have two names, two addresses, two phone numbers. Addresses are down the street from each other, phone numbers have same code. Seems like this one is a lost cause

For one I do appreciate you coming here and admitting this...But, if you left appropriate feedback, EVEN A NEUTRAL, OP might not be out great beer right now...

Again, ive mentioned this in another thread...This is exactly why the system is not working properly

@RayOhioFelton although this is true, he has been very helpful to me ever since I contacted him about trading with NVP0717

Lets not forget who the one that should be drawing the heat should be. Not OP, not me...its the dude that seemingly stole a bottle of bvdl! Man this place is so toxic sometimes, want to attack anyone who sticks their neck out.

I really hope this guy comes back with a solid excuse and redeems himself and all the people flinging shit at me look like fools.

It went like this. Guy was suppose to send me a Vanilla Rye

Messages me and says his wife dropped it while packaging it to ship and didnt tell him till he returned home from a business trip over seas.

Offers me a bcvs or prop 13 to make up for it

I said thats a little extreme so send what you think is fair.

I got the black panther barrel aged set, marshal z, plus several other bottles I was not expecting and far exceeded my expectations.

Another option he gave me was to ship all my beer back and pay me for my original shipping costs.

So yeah, I left positive feedback cause there was not enough room to explain all that in the limited character count for a response. Anyone got an issue with that please let me know and Ill toss you on the list of people not to deal with in the future.

Which is an excuse with gaping holes in in. I mean, seriously, who would allow their wife to even touch their VR let alone hold it long enough to drop it?

Relax man, I don't think anyone here is attacking you. Just pointing out that leaving the proper feedback is a must. I get that there might not have been enough room for you to explain everything that happened, but maybe a "nuetral" feedback with something short like "poor communication. Slow to ship. Had to message multiple times, but made up with a solid box." I think something along those lines would have fit. Again I'm not attacking you and know exactly who to blame is (@NVP0717 ) but people need to know that proper fend back can help others from getting burned

He did leave proper feedback. Just because it wasn't proper in others opinions doesn't make it wrong. If they had the screw up with bottles and in the end both parties are happy and whole then what's not worthy of a positive from the one side ?

We've all dealt with hard to deal people. Especially the children on this site and everyone wanting to beat each other up.

Proper is in the eye of the beholder. If he was satisfied in the end, who are you to say what was and was not proper regarding his feedback.

In general, we do need to be more transparent with feedback. But I think that's more of a flaw inherent in the system than with all of us who leave feedback.

To balance the comments out a bit, and this is coming from someone who has been vocal about leaving neutral/negative feedback for someone who performs poorly regardless of end scenario, I think @RayOhioFelton was right to leave positive feedback in his situation.

Personally I MAY have worded it as "communication was spotty but results were good", but there's no world in which stalled communication and an accidentally broken bottle is "being wronged" in a way that he needed less than positive feedback "regardless of resolution". Given that, and a more than satisfactory resolution, I don't see any reason for lesser feedback here.

You are kidding, right? Based on @RayOhioFelton's experience he documented in another post and this feedback:

<<Great trader. Would trade with confidence going forward!>>

Do you really think this is proper feedback?? Cmon, give me a break. And you are a staff member on this site? Looked like the inmates are running the asylum if people think this is proper feedback.

You seem to be making the assumption that "wife" is synonomous with "person who is not also interested in beer" and perhaps even with "person incapable of holding a valuable object without breaking it" ... This is real life, not I Love Lucy.

    @RayOhioFelton also said this:

<<I sent him a message basically saying "what the hell I see you have been on BA and read my.message a day ago but have not responded".

He was gull of excuses. He gave several options including mailing back my beer and paying for my shipping costs.>>

Would you please use "[ quote] [ /quote]"? It'd make it considerably easier to follow what you're saying.

With that said, I'm pretty sure I've been able to read what you've written, and while in YOUR opinion Ray's experience might warrant neutral feedback, in RAY'S opinion it warranted positive feedback. There can be hiccups in a trade and still be an overall positive experience, can there not? I admit, a bit more detail in his feedback comment might have been warranted, but being less descriptive than you'd like is not really the his problem.

Just because we're in a bad trader thread doesn't mean that everyone mildly associated with the situation is an accomplice or somehow guilty of wrongdoing, can we please keep that in mind?

And that was at the beginning of their issues in their trade. His feedback was good because by his acct here, he felt made whole and going forward - was satisfied enough.

Yes feedback can be vague. Yes people should say more. Or less in some peoples cases. It's not your feedback and regardless of feedback it's everyone's responsibility to do your own homework on someone before trading.

::Sigh:: It was a joke. Relax, PC Police. I'm aware that a woman is capable of holding bottles without dropping them. My wife has no problem holding countless different bottled ingredients when she's cooking me dinner.
