Happoshu eludes me too! I imagine I can find it in NYC (where I found kvass, in a Russian grocery store), but I always forget to look when I'm there. I also have had difficulty with roggenbier and sahti, as well as British mild. I take it you've had all of those?

Definitely want to start home brewing. i love cooking and spend a lot of time doing it but i'm yet to shift some of that creative effort to my number one passion; Beer.

No roggenbier yet. The English dark mild was not too hard, there's a local version. It was the pale mild that was a challenge. Until I made a trip to the Sydney area in Oz where I found the Coopers version easily available no more than a very short walk form my hotel. Pure luck. Dogfish Head did/does a Sahti so that was an easy one.

The Kvasses here are also in a Russian Grocery, but that requires two different trains and then a bus to get to from where I normally travel to in Philly. The Happoshu is just a matter of having the time to get to a particular restaurant in center city for lunch.

Yeah, English Pale Mild is the one I've struggled with. Funny thing is I've had Cooper's and know where to get it. Hell, seems I can get any of these in NYC, it's just that none of these are exactly what I'm seeking out when I'm there.

To home brew a killer DIPA that takes the beer world by storm making all of you say Heady who? Pliny who?. This beer will go on to achieve a perfect 5 out of 5 rating here (100). You fools wont know what to do with yourselves and you will unload your wallets, sell your wife's car, raid your children's college funds and put a second mortgage on your homes just to buy this beer. Meanwhile I'll be living in a castle, chicks everywhere, Buggatti's, Ferrari's and Lambo's, globe trotting around the world in my private jet to different beer festivals and what not and if you're lucky you might be able to snap a pic of me from afar and if you do get a pic you'll race home to hang it in your man cave/home bar making a sort of beer shrine canonizing me as a legend in the beer world. But in the end after all that I just want you all to know that I am just a regular guy who loves good beer. "I'm no different than all you fanboys and fangirls out there who love my beer" ill say, except I have 7 more zeros on the end of my bank balance of course. When asked how I did it? How did I come up with such a great beer? I'll smugly reply "I was just making beer I wanted to drink"

I got to get to work. Wish me luck.

Start home brewing!! I put a starter kit on my christmas wish so hopefully a loved one pulls through. Otherwise I will be taking on the start up costs.

Other than that, I will be moving to Virginia early next year and I don't know thing one of the their local brew scene so I will be educating myself on that. Any suggestions?

Find a local facebook group, seriously I've found it to be quite lucrative.

I want to try and collect the label of every bottled beer brewed in my city. I'm around 80% - 85% right now.

Highly recommend this! They were 5-6 euro a pint when i was there in 2009. Would go back in a heart beat if someone else was buying the plane ticket.

I have a couple of "loose" goals for 2016.

First is to try something I've never had at least once a week. Fortunately this should be easily attainable.

Second is to visit every brewery in Florida. My wife wants to visit every winery so combining trips will be necessary. This one might take a while.

Finally I want to home brew one batch per month. I've only done four in 2015 so I better get busy. Fortunately I have no shortage of people who will help be consume my products (as long as they are good of course).
