Sorry to hear that, hopefully somebody in his local area knows him and can put some pressure on. I realize it is too late at this point for you, but for anybody reading this who encounters something similar in the future you can definitely call FedEx/UPS and re-direct the package. You'd be out shipping but that's better than nothing.

 

If I were you I would contact the BA members he previously completed trades with. Maybe one of them have his phone number? Although his account is no longer active you still can view his trade feedback. Sucks this happened to you man.

 

You can still view all of his feedback if you mess around a bit. I would go back & try to contact a few of the last trades he did, I'm sure one of them has his phone number. That should get you started.

EDIT: damn, I need to brush up on my typing speed.

 

Here is the list of his traders. One as recent as last Friday. I'd try reaching out to them and see if any of them might have a phone number you can use. Good luck OP.

That sucks but it might not even mean he's a bad trader. If he's been banned, isn't it possible that he just can't get into his messages to find your phone number or address or am I missing something? I feel like they should make sure that before they drop the hammer on someone, that person at least completes all of their open trades first. Maybe just revoke their trade privileges and then ban when everything has been completed. Do we know how long after he was supposed to ship that he was banned? If it was only a day or two that might be what's going on. Obviously if he was banned a couple weeks after he was supposed to ship, that excuse no longer applies. I'm anxious to hear how this plays out, I hope everything works out for you, OP.

I highly recommend getting in touch with @Respirologist in this matter.

While he has been banned here for a gross incident where he tried to sell beer at well above face value, he may well be active elsewhere in the "beer world".

His status here should not impact whether or not the trade goes through...if it does, I'm sure people elsewhere will be happy to break out the tar and feathers.

 

Elsewhere he seems to be claiming he never got your box it was returned. Hope it works out for you, but that doesn't sound like he plans on sending anything to you

personally, he has zero credibility afaiac. i saw the list of beers he was selling and the prices. disgraceful profiteering.

perhaps someone ought to ask him about that incident...something tells me it wouldn't go over too well wherever he is still active. if nothing else, it shows how he would trade the beer...a clear 'i am in this to win' mentality.

 

I don't know what he was selling or for what price, but I do recall he claims it was a case of heady. I could be misremembering but I believe he claimed it was a gpiufmb and a label.. but it's hard to challenge him without the deets.

@beerbawse....was your box received by him? There's the beer selling, then there's the issue of if he stiffed you on the trade.
