When I travel for either vacation or work I want to try 20-25 new beers in a weeks time; preferably from breweries that I can not get a hold of. I also like bringing home beers from breweries that do not distribute in my area. For instance: I love trying anything from Boulevard when I'm in the plains states and I will always sample new beers from breweries in San Diego when I'm there for work. So many beers, so little time to drink them.

To find a group in my town that has a similar passion for good craft beer, establish a tasting/dabbler group that meets regularly, and to travel the world consuming amazing beers. I would like to share the beer I have with people that have a similar appreciation. I can't blame my drinking buddies now but I'd like to hear something other than "it's ok" or "it's one dimensional" when I do bring stuff around.

I'm very pleased with the progress that I've made since I took my beerlove to the next level in June- I've reviewed an average of a beer every other day, many of them new to me. This practice has definitely sharpened my palate/nose and improved my ability to verbalize the flavors, aromas, and other characteristics of the beers that I drink. I've found a fair number of new favorite beers, and I have a better understanding of my favorite styles.

So, goal #1: stay the course; continue to critically appreciate new beers at a steady pace while improving my critical abilities.

Goal #2: gradually branch out into new styles.

Personal growth is great when it comes with beer.

Hit 1,000 beers on Untappd... by the end of next year. Hit 100 full reviews on BA, and then keep going.
