I know there is a thread for NY, NJ, and PA already but it seems to be mostly regarding the release information for the NY and northern NJ areas so I figured I would start one for the Philadelphia and surrounding counties.

Does anyone know of anywhere that has confirmed a Black Friday event yet? Please post information in here when it becomes available.

I know the Foodery usually has events at their locations but I haven't seen a word about it on the Facebook page yet. With only 2 weeks until release day, I feel like this is late in the game for these places to still not have any details or even hints.

It's looking like we'll have to fend for ourselves this year and just get lucky, I haven't seen an ounce of info at all yet and we're getting pretty damn close...

Interesting info for those in S. NJ: I was visiting a few bottle shops today in Cherry Hill. One place said they were told that NO BCBS would be available this year in NJ (skeptical about this). Another said they will not have any until early Dec.

I reached out to the one of the Foodery locations last week and asked if they were doing anything this year again. He said they were and details would be coming out this week.

I'm assuming The Beer Stores in Southampton and Malvern will be having events too. Though they'll probably get a case then raffle off a chance to by one bottle to the 100 people waiting in line at double retail and then require the lucky winners to buy a 12 pack of 6 month old GI 312.

Ive spoken to most of my Beer managers about this, and one told me yesterday, they were taking to the distributor and they were confused on the pricing, and until they figured the pricing (guess the 500 ml bottles gave them a headache) they couldn't say what they could expect. So from that no BCBS in NJ seems a bit off.

I know from my other local stores, the way people acted last year, they are going with a regular customers only policy on the one case they get of regular. They are just tired of the people who just chase the beer truck on black friday and are not customers the other 364 days.

I refuse to buy anything from those spots on principle alone. BCBS or not, screw that guy.

Of course I'll be in line somewhere Black Friday but I honestly don't know why anymore? Spoke with an AB person yesterday at Wegmans in Allentown, they're not getting anything but regular, supposedly. Same rep also swore up and down they're making Vanilla this year (which btw was terrible last year). Yea, Mr. Rep you might want to get a clue about your job.

What happened to AB was going to improve things? All that's happened is the quality of the product has gone down every year since 2012 and now this year has gone up in price, and down in availability. I go Black Friday because it's fun, I get to drink at 6 AM (that's always fun), freeze my ass off hopefully (I love cold weather) and have some interesting conversation with other crazies in line.

How could AB possibly improve anything related to a craft beer, except maybe distibution. You guys can have the Bourbon County, I'm not giving AB my money.

Do the Wegmans around Philly (i.e. Malvern) typically get BCBS?

What time do they let people buy it and how long does it typically last?

I live in Malvern and was out of town the past two years. I'm determined to get some this year.

Any word on Cape May and Atlantic county?

Cape May County gets little to NONE. From what I have heard, its going to be a week late. Most places in CMC have already started to take RSVP, or will only be selling to regulars this year. Atlantic County, the places I know that get it, Roger Wilco, Canals, etc do one bottle per person. Bootleggers, requires you to be a member of their club if I remember correctly, but I don't waste my time driving up to Atlantic County chasing one bottle per store.
