You had me confused for a second there. First time I read your post's title I thought we were referring to 3 Fonteinen then i realized it was that time of the week again

There is obviously a market for premium priced beers, there is no reason that market should not be satisfied. People are use to being able to afford every beer and can tend to go over board when a beer reaches these "outrageous" price levels. A perception shift is needed, there will continue to be beers released that will push the limit of pricing but lets not forget there is no shortage of beer we can afford out there. They are not taking anything away from us, moving away from the pokemon mindset would be beneficial to the community as a whole.

For example, Bell's Oarsman is better than FFF Deesko. Oarsman is also more affordable and much easier to acquire, even in Munster.

Wow really? That's not much of a ringing endorsement for Deesko considering Oarsmen is trash

People speak with their wallets. As long as people are willing to pay, there is no reason for FFF not to charge as much as 3 digits for a beer. This is the cult of FFF. They could barrel age a turd and there would be lines out the door.

Looks like the recession is over. FFF was swamped with people forking over $35 a bottle not to mention a full bar, restaurant and a waiting list to get in. Plenty of discretionary income being spent on beer.

Interesting....just today I was thinking that a rye barrel aged stout with blueberries should be made ala bramble berry BCS. Anyone know what berries were used?
