This coming Thursday and Friday (19th & 20th). I will hit one of the Wichita Brewing Co locations and I'd like to hit Central Standard. I'm very familiar with Goebels. Is there anything else I can't miss?? Like special tappings? Any events at the Anchor??

I'm visiting, too. Recommend a trip to Hopping Gnome. Literally 2 blocks from Central Standard (which I visited yesterday and is excellent)

On another note, did Schlafly Eleventh Labor make it down here?

Eleventh Labor is fantastic. But I don't know if it hit Wichita. It's everywhere in Columbia, MO.

Gotta say this about my trip to Wichita. It used to be I just drove through and made sure to hit Goebel. This time I stopped at 2 gems. The Anchor is very good and I think fairly well known. I was blown away by Central Standard. I've never been to a new brewery that had such amazing styles and flavors. The Standard Issue Grissette and Red Cicada were simply amazing.

Central Standard is great, I usually go pick up a growler/crowler every weekend. Should try to hit up the Public. They have pretty good food and usually have a good tap list.

Thanks for the tip. Sadly, I was only in town because my mom was at Wesley recovering from back surgery. But I imagine I'll make it back at some point.

I have a guy in Wichita who owes me some beers, any of you have an idea what i should ask for? I'm in PA so i don't get lots of the Midwest stuff. Any Praire or anything like that around at that Goebel's place?

Tallgrass, Free State & Odell might be a good starting point. Been a while since I've been up, so I'm not sure what new breweries are up there now...

Prairie is a good option. Plus, Coop Ale Works. I particularly like F5 IPA.

Coop does some good beer. Defiance Awesomeness batch 2 is out and pretty tasty. Wichita definitely had a good selection of prairie.

Gonna be in Wichita for a night Sunday and wanted to know if there's anything that wasn't mentioned here or that's new since this thread. Particularity looking for sour, wild, and barrel aged beers.
