The only people being pandered to are the store owners who have gotten the Grimms to stop posting where the product they make can be bought. I don't really feel bad for the stores who are reselling an in demand product and making a profit on it. Some days you might have to answer the phone a little more. Some days you might have to talk to a few more people. I don't go to stores and just buy Grimm, there's always something else out that's worth picking up. Are there people who just want the latest and just buy Grimm? Of course! But that's just how a business works! Some people buy more and some people buy less. For someone to own/run a store and try to dictate to a brewer how they conduct their business so they don't have to "deal with it" is ludicris to me. It's just my opinion. Can't wait for Tesseract!

Back to useful dialogue - Whole Foods in Jericho has Purple Prose bottles. Saw five in the cooler against the back wall by the meat and cheese area, as of 10:00am on Sunday.

Ive seen Purple Prose on a few shelves this weekend. Seems like only the IPAs fly of shelves, everything else lasts for a week or so. No surprise really.

Might be too soon. But any word of Tesseract or Barrel Aged DN around the city yet?

Pretty sure it won't hit until tomorrow at the earliest they said. Haven't seen anything on beermenus yet.

Also of note: cherry pickin' truck chasers from out of state are lurking anonymously waiting for people to talk about the location of these beers tomorrow and Thursday here in this thread.

Please do not let them win. Please do not blow up the spot.

If it bothers you that much why don't you start a private conversation for all the people who have been active in this thread (up to 50) so we can discuss locations privately.

I like this idea. Otherwise, I'm gonna keep posting on this thread. If there really are out-of-state cherry pickers that have nothing better to do than troll the city for cans, they already have a leg up on regular people who have to work anyway. If I get info on this thread about availability somewhere, however, I can likely duck out of work quickly and grab a few. This thread is likely the difference between me getting some and getting none, and I imagine that's the case for many others as well. A private conversation might help though.

Does this really happen? I live in the city but work in NJ. I have my wife on high alert to run to a store when I find out where the cans are.

So you will private message the cherry pickers that aren't lurking anonymously so the ones that are, aren't able to get any? I think everyone is just a little bit paranoid here. I love you guys that think you are entitled to these releases but others aren't cause you spend more time on a thread than someone else. If someone from out of state wants to drive into NYC and spend $20-$30 in tolls and parking to get their 2 can limit of whatever is being released then let them have it I say.

this is getting a bit ridiculous. If there are people lurking in this thread i'm sure they are also on beermenus and following all the social pages of bottle shops. They don't have to be following this thread to find the beer the information is pretty readily available. No need for a private conversation IMO. At the end of the day if I dont get the beer I dont get it, its not the end of the world. They will make more.
