Depends on the store. Mine is more like 2-3 times a month

I stopped by a store yesterday around 5pm. They said they hadn't received it yet. Is it possible that they sit on it until the next day? I've purchased from them before and the guy knows me.

If you are in fairfield or new haven county your store should have gotten it yesterday, but the rest of the state usually gets it a day or two later.

I am in Fairfield County. I actually told the guy that they should have received it on Monday. I am just wondering if they don't do their inventory adjustment until later in the day/evening.

I picked up a few packs yesterday afternoon right off of Rte 15 in Norwalk on my drive from Boston to NJ. The stores I found it in play some shady games, IMO, though. One place sells them in 3-packs only (they remove one of the cans and cut the pastic rings), and another requires you to purchase an additional 4- or 6-pack for every pack of SOS you get.

That's shady. I can't stand when stores do that type of stuff. All just to make an extra buck or two per 4 pack. I can see if you were getting cases of this stuff, but they're not. Profit margin is not that high.

What are people paying? I just picked up a 4-pack for $15.99. When it first came out, I was paying either $12.99 or $13.99. Hard to complain too much since the demand is there, but that seems a little higher than warranted. That being said, I picked up a 4 pack of Green Flash Road Warrior for $6. That's a great deal on a solid beer.

There is a least one store in Fairfield that always waits a day. They know me and always have a pack for me, but everytime I go on Monday, he says tomorrow and then he does have it. Maybe Star hits him on Tuesday....

Bev Max in Norwalk has them - you just have to ask them for a 4 pack. Also 6 packers of Super Session #2 out.

SoS was in the cooler at Stony Hill wines, next to Big Y in Bethel on Saturday.

Seems like a lot of places throw SS out in the cooler at this point. A session at that price point is a bit high.

Off topic, but I just put on a Two Roads brewed keg of Sea Hag (11/4) and it is excellent. Happy Thanksgiving to me.

I managed to pickup SoS and Maine's A Tiny Beautiful Something tonight. Enjoying while I watch the UConn game. Thank goodness CT has so many good beers available!

You should have put that in the New England Brewing Co thread! :grinning:

PS Where do you get the tap handle?

I put it in the "what are you drinking" thread. The tap handle was on eBay, stickered for Elm City. When I ordered the keg I asked for the Sea Hag stickers and they got them for me. $18 all in.

I am in Fairfield County and have a consistent source. I happily pay $14.99 per 4-pack regularly. Can find it every week if I'm looking and buy 8-12 each time. Speaking of shady (price gouging), there is a store in my town who sells it for $5.50 per can and limits to two cans.
