I was gonna say the opposite about All Green Everything. Sure, most IPAs/DIPAs are the best when just few days old, but some mellow out very nicely after 2/3 weeks. I thought that was the case for AGE's last batch.

May not be your cup of tea but I'm still seeing cans of Doug around Midtown/Upper Westside.

Doug didn't get enough love from the OH crowd - that beer is fantastic.

Well, I'm finishing my last El Dorado right now and while El Dorado was an interesting and unusual beer, I'd rather be showered with hop showers 97.49% of the time. If I could guarantee a steady supply of fresh, canned OH beers in my fridge, the order would be Amarillo, Mosaic, Hop Showers, Green Diamonds, AGE, Nelson, Citra, whatever else. El Dorado is more "interesting" than Hop Showers (possibly only for novelty), but not as good a beer in most regards.

Doug was so solid, can't believe it lasted so long.

Hop showers is great. 40 minutes in line great. Anything beyond that and you need better local breweries. Just my opinion.

Single hop is hit or miss. Half my el dorado cans tasted like wet socks. I might stroll by at 1 for the release but not going to be maxing out the limits. 2 4 packs per especially with tesseract out this week.

East Park Beverage. They also had AGE for $29.99 a 4 pack. How much do they have?

The massive lines at OH are filled up with a lot of hard core beer geeks who love OH, but places like East Park and others who are illegally selling OH beer are a part of the problem too.

Fantastic beer. I guess it is not as sexy or hype worthy as some of the others, but that beer is great, one of the best black IPAs I have had.

Wow at least they are charging tax. So responsible of them. But do they report the tax as part of their illegal sale?

I'll probably hit the release around noon, before heading to see my parents in NJ, but if I miss out, whatever. That said, I can't imagine anything being gone by then. I really think it'll be in and out by that point.

When I went to the green diamonds / Doug release they posted 4 4pk limit and had no problem selling me a case of green diamonds. Think they might do the same this go round?

You might have to put on that tight red dress again. :grinning: But seriously, I doubt it.

When I went to the All Green Everything release a while ago they sold a guy in front of me a case of it. The guy really thought it was a case limit and when they told him it was only 4 4-packs he was disappointed but analogized for his mistake and they just ended up selling him the case. The people at Other Half are nice and if you are not a total dick they are pretty accommodating.

Yep thats the place. The guy at East Park told me one of his friends uncles owns part of the brewery so he gets the beer through him. I dont believe it.

Sounds like a bunch of BS. Pretty sure if OH knew they were selling this beer at 100% markups (AGE) they would not be happy.

    You are both correct.

They buy it and mark it up. They have no OH connection.
