I messaged @F2brewers and @Todd before posting this thread about my situation with @Beer_Run. After speaking with them I was asked to post a Bad Trader thread. I agreed to a pre-trade with @Beer_Run on 10/17. He was going to ship an SR71 and I would send back a BC Rare 15. He was new to beeradvocate so I asked him if he would ship first, he agreed and he also accepted the trade request I sent him. I realized there was a chance we could get to this point since he was new but since he agreed to ship first I wanted to move forward. He never gave any indication he wanted to back out and on 11/5 he said he would ship out on 11/9 and send me the tracking #. I have not heard from him since. I messaged him on 11/13 to ask if he ever shipped, on 11/14 to let him know I picked up my bottles of Rare, and 11/17 to follow up again. It has only been a couple of weeks but I reached out to F2 right away because he left the "trading group" a couple of days ago and also set his profile to private yesterday. Todd ended up banning him this morning and they are looking in to his account to see if he may have multiple accounts. My only reason for posting this is to inform others in case he tries to join back up or has another account. He told me his name was Jared from Minnesota, but never sent his address since he was shipping first. ***Sorry if there are multiple Jared's from Minnesota that are looking to trade an SR-71.
@F2brewers was Beer_Run banned due to his actions in this trade or was it something else? @fondyball20 thanks for warning the community. Kudos for clearing it with Todd & F2 prior to starting the thread. I'm glad you didn't lose any beer. I just hope nobody else was ripped off.
His intent was clear from his actions in this instance. He's done. The info provided by the OP makes me think he may have another account...the one we're looking at is another MN trader with the name Jared, who posts nothing but ISOs on the site, but simply matching IP addresses doesn't tell the whole story. That's something for traders (particularly MN and Great Lakes/Midwest traders) to watch out for.
