    Although Iowa has gotten better in the last couple/few years, John's Grocery in Iowa City is still number one.

    They even have a free app to track your growler fills and frequent buyer loyalty programs. They notify via email when they tap new or rare stuff and they have a huge clean store!!!

    They are quite possibly the worst beer store in NY... You must work for them or just enjoy overpriced, expired beer.

    Charleston Beer Exchange. One of the nation's best and a truly massive selection of Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and other hard-to-find beers, as well as every great release that hits SC.

    Washington has a many-way tie for first. Beer Junction, Bottleworks, Special Brews, 99 Bottles. We have a fantastic number of great places up here.

    Brawley's in Charlotte for North Carolina manners and demeanor. Michael and his Mom are just wonderful people, plus the store has a fantastic choice of beer and wine. What is the opposite of pretentious? Real?
