    Found this guy in the back of the fridge... works nicely as a breakfast beer to start a long day of feeding oak to the smoker, watching football, and drinking beer.

    Yeah- I'm sort of conflicted with the whole thing. Like I said, I don't listen to the music anymore, but you just have to LOVE and admire somebody with the sense of humor and ability to pull something like that off for so long. There were press releases, it was played on 'indie' radio, all of that stuff. RIP Cub Coda, indeed!

    My sympathy for the rock - my first trip to London they actually offered me this in a restaurant. Apparently they'd never been to Latrobe.

    My first entry was to ease me into Turkey Day. It's not the beer that's bad, it's out bad parenting that led it astray. Bought 2 years ago and left (God knows why) on the table near a window in a room that doesn't stay that cool in the summertime. Dust adds character:

    At first I thought I would have to skip posting this, it looked good, if a little effervescent. This kid has got a hot head after years of neglect from the parents:

    Then I got the nose. There is some of the base beer there, but it's definitely skunked. I can see the little boy we started with, but he has definitely turned rotten over the years. The taste loses all semblance of what might have been a good beer. Metallic oxidation and wet newspaper and sadness is all I taste now.

    Dunno what good weather is. We had a Director of Nursing move to PA from CA - said she couldn't take the constant blue skies anymore, she wanted some changes. She didn't last long.

    Another beautiful Saturday morning. My wife is out at her grandmother's house for their annual "make hundreds of Pierogi's for the family Christmas party" day, so I decided to take my daughter (who just turned 2) out for another hike at some nearby trails where she had her first unprompted conversation with another little girl (who was probably 4-5):

    Lucy (my daughter): "Daddy look, a girl"
    Lucy: "Hi!"
    Other girl: "Hi!"
    Lucy: "... hi!"
    Other girl: "Hi!"
    Lucy: "... ... Hi! My name's Lucy."
    Other girl: "... Hi I'm Kara!"
    Lucy (to me): "Daddy I'm saying hi!"
    Other girl: "... hi!"
    Lucy: "... ... hi!"
    Lucy: "Okay bye!"

    The rest of the hike was spent talking about her new friend "from on the hike hill" :grinning:

    The flavor:stuck_out_tongue:rice ratio for this beer is always spot on, and consistently the best $4.50 I have ever spent on a bomber.
