Looking to commemorate my 1000th beer with something big and monstrous. Any suggestions? Haven't been much of a whale hunter myself, so go ahead throw me some suggestions! What would solidify a landmark in the quest for beer exploration!?

Michelob Ultra. Because special 1,000 themed beers are too mainstream.

On a more serious note, give us a multiple choice survey. Some special beers that I can find in California you may not be able to find in Nebraska, and vice versa.

Westvleteren 12 if you've never had it and can get it. I'm sure you could trade for it.

I just had my 1,000th and went with BA Ten Fidy. It was very tasty and not too hard to get.

Go against the grain....Find the shittiest 40 oz you've never had, and have some fun with a review.

I promise you'll remember it better than the first 999.

Go big in either direction, either a bottle of Utopias or a 40 of Mickeys.

Or, option 3, just get "that bottle" you've eyed forever but haven't picked up for whatever reason. When I tick 500 its going to be Mikkeler Beer Geek Breakfast for example.

Make it something kinda special at least. I don't really remember, but I think I started and I think I still do a special brew, on my new brew's in 500 increments, holidays, birthday. Enjoy!

    Cheers!

I'm in full support of your making it something you will regret drinking.

If you've reviewed that many beers since 2012, ticking is obviously your thing. Nothing wrong with that, either. With that type of volume I'm not sure that 1000 holds any more weight than #999. Grab what you're in the mood for and indulge.

    Whatever grabs your fancy.
The fact that it's #1000 doesn't mean anything.
    Enjoy the ride!

Go to a fancy-ass beer store. Choose something from Belgium that seems too pricey, like $25. That usually works.

I'll be honest I haven't thought of going in that direction. The problem is finding a shitty 40 oz. I haven't had yet...

I just hit 2500 on Untappd and it was Pugachev's Cobra. Bourbon soaked fudge at 18.9%.
