Well, my local guy, that was sure he was getting a case of Rare, got Regular and Barleywine. Maybe MD is getting the shaft again after all.

 

Guess this would be a repeat of last year then :/

 

Or maybe @duceswild paid off the truck driver and had him deliver it straight to his garage.

 

It really didn't cost me as much as I thought. He even unload it to my beer cellar.

To be clear, they still won't open until 10 AM, or will they open earlier for Black Friday? Also, when is a good time to get in line if I'm only concerned about the reg and BW?

The Jack Rose event is pretty good, pours of rare in the early going, probably gone now, glassware etc. Rare is probably worth it, although I prefer Vanilla Rye to any of this year's variants.

The Goose Island rep confirmed that Schneiders should have more than anyone friday, although of course the line will be longer.

How does Whole Foods P St. work? I know the store opens at 7am but the beer isn't available until 9am. At 7am do you just go inside and line up in the beer section? Do they give out numbered tickets?

 

Are the cases 12/per or 24/per this year?

 

12/case -- all single bottles, no 4-packs.

Bottles that hit MoCo (at least from what I got) are 10/01/15 bottles on with a 13.7% abv. Looks like VA got the 10/23/15 14.3% mostly.

 

HoCo in MD got 10/23 14.3%

 

Our store in Harrisonburg, VA got 13.7% 10/1/15 batch also, which means most if not all of Virginia Eagle's will be the same.
