Barzini's also mentioned they'd be doing a lottery on Friday.

Any news from CR Mt. Vernon or CR Edgewood Road Hyvees?

Oakland is Monday, Benz is December 19. Both lotteries.

Past years most variants were held back from stores in the IC/CR stores and most stores that got stuff did odd release times or raffles or hoarded it. Definitely night and day between the DSM and corridor areas which is unfortunate. Two years ago I went out in DSM and it was plentiful for the first hour or so at most Hyvee store varients included. Hoping the same this year.

There is definitely not a right way or a wrong way to handle BCBS and all ways have different advantages and disadvantages with the decision. It's just the way we like to handle it. It's a blast getting it to accounts and sitting back and watching the updates on Twitter. Enjoy your hunt.

I for one would argue (opine) that this is in fact the right way to do it...but here in E. Iowa it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Yes Friday hasn't even come yet but I'm preparing....regular BCBS is pretty nice too, I can't complain too much!

There's nothing quite like paying $35 to get into a festival for a 1 ounce pour of Vanilla, or $65 for a beer dinner for a 2 ounce pour.

I would be in favor of a lottery at retail. You win, you win, you lose, you lose. Seems fair, and the way God intended retail sales, and convoluted three-tier system to go.

Completely agree. You either do lottery or first come first serve but I agree that everything should be sent to retail.

From what Ive heard it sounds like regular will be plentiful but variants not so much and rare is practically non-existent except for a few lucky people at some accounts (whatever they actually are).

I think he might be referring to the Red's dinner. They did a little bit of everything, but the price was super steep. I did not attend because the food that you got was weak. If you have a beer dinner I actually want to get full from the meal, not just an app and a zert. :slight_frown:

Anyone know if Illinois side of the Quad Cities will be more likely to get in variants and is NOT a part of 7g distribution?! Sorry if this is a secret of some sort.

Right. I guess I didn't want to "assume" anything/that Illinois is covered by 7G. I suppose Rock Island IS on the map.

For Decorah folks same upside/downside as past years. No variants to be heard of in the immediate area, but regular shouldn't be a hassle to get a hold of....
We're releasing bottles at Courtyard & Cellar 3pm on Friday - 3 per person @ 9.50 a bottle. Expect it to last the day. Cheers!

I'll check back later, but I would be much appreciative if there were updates on where I could find a bottle of regular (not willing to pay for the variants) in the DSM metro later on in the day as I work in the health field and we have to work (until 5 here). Thanks!
