    Good morning everyone. Got up around 5:00, had a hockey practice and gym visit already and feel like I've earned early drinking before cooking starts.

    So first up - Calm Before The Storm. Metaphoric even, given that I'll get busier as the day goes by!

    First one of these I've had, and is it good or what?

    Looks fairly unassuming and even through force it produced a lazy and uninteresting white head. We get much better with the nose as some faint coffee rides a wave of mild hop spiciness. Tastes just about as pleasing as possible for this style. Nice hints of coffee, confident yet quiet sweetness, sidelined hop spice and enough vanilla to suggest cream without anything that even approaches contrived, cloying or artificial. Finished dry and lacking any bitter memory.

    Yes folks, I am smitten with this one.

    How ' bout a little afternoon blues?

    Once again....Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Was planning on having The Greater Pumpkin while watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles...well we need to leave for our Thanksgiving day at Animal Kingdom and there isn't enough time. It's just gonna need to wait until later!:grinning:

    Happy Thanksgiving to all. Drinking anything and everything as company begins to arrive. One of those few days when my palate is non-discriminatory. If I keep it up I may even be able to tolerate the political discussions.
