    Was very excited to open this beer today but it's sorta a let down I must say regular tilquin is much better and the price I paid for this makes it not worth it at all still a decent beer I guess tho...

    Already cracked the '14 Sea Monster while cooking. The Hennepin/Premiere are the intended dinner quaffs for all. That's a "really" OBD, the 11% kind, which was an afterthought but should be a nice autumn-ender at some point in the day. Otherwise, plenty of Celebration, Global Warmer and Downtime Pils for the the masses here. Gobble-gobble BAs!

    I go back and forth between FIS and Expedition for best non-BA stout. Usually comes down to whichever I'm drinking now. Expedition really gets going at two years, IMHO.

    Second up is Maduro Brown from Cigar City.

    Admittedly not a huge brown ale fan, and this lackluster headed opaque fellow is producing the same "meh" feelings. Thankfully the nose is rescuing me, as I'm getting vanilla, chocolate, leather and a touch of caramel. We'll the taste is just dandy I must say. Everything in the nose plus some muted earthy hops that balances out the sweetness produced by the vanilla and chocolate tones.

    My anti-brown ale stance may need some rethinking if there's more like this out there.
