    Just about to sit down to Thanksgiving dinner - Poulette en Cocotte Bonne Femme (my grandmother's recipe) - and I'm going to pair that with a 2.5 year old bottle of Sahalie from The Ale Apothecary.

    Words are going to fail me on this. Caramel color, no head, no carb. Looks like bourbon. Aroma has notes of dark-fruit jam, dark bread, malts, and alcohol. Very sweet on the palate, no bitterness at all. Again, bread, dark fruit, prunes, alcohol warmth although not boozy at all. Lingering sweet syrupy finish. A fireside sipper for sure.
