Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Finally home so I can finally have a beer! Clearing out more singles.

 

My LNBA's!!! Happy Turkey Day everyone! After being a freakin' glutton all day including appetizers and 5 full dinner plates of food and dessert, I came back to my apt and did a workout. Now I'm having more dessert with an appropriate beer, Elysian The Great Pumpkin which was made possible by The Great @JayWhitson.

 

Same funk, better dancin...matter of opinion, of course.


Having a heck of a time fighting the old Eye-pad tonight, so lets just say likes all 'round...by what i have been able to see, folks have had a fantastic day and taken the time to share. Very cool.

Better than expected here. Heavy traffic for a bit on the MA Pike, so a long drive to the outlaws' house. A wonderful meal that was Thanksgiving pot luck style, plenty lively before the turkey was consumed then super mellow. No traffic at all on the drive home. My brother in law had relatives down from Quebec, so it was a multi-cultural gathering. Quite interesting...some real broken English, I dont know a lick of French, and lots of hand gesturing (not the bad kind).

So i have to violate the "now" requirement, but my sister in law says to my son and me "there is a case of beer on the porch that we dont like, help yourself". We didnt expect much, but found Sierra Nevada Tumbler and Pale Ale and Sam Adams Rebel Session IPA and some other randoms. Not quite a full case mixed bag but close. OK...twist our arms...we will help you out and suffer through these horrible brews... Didnt want to overdo it with the drive home, but Tumbler was tasty and SNPA, well, it is SNPA...how you can not like SNPA mystified us, but OK fine... We put a decent dent in the Sierra Nevada. The Rebel IPA Session was rather unremarkable, but it was probably pretty old. My son took the rest for his disc golf buddies who clearly know the meaning of the word "free" and arent terribly picky!

Dont stay up too late, kids...I'm kinda in that after driving wired mode so will continue the battle with this foolish tablet.

Happy Thanksgiving! I got to pair my meal with one of my all-time favorites. Bend Brewing hasn't released bottles of Lovely Cherry Baltic Porter in quite a few months, but a local growler fill station put it on this week. Bonus: the 32oz Crowler was cheaper than the 22oz bottle price!

 

Ending the night with a Founder's Porter, and this PortOff will end with Founder's taking it as the best of the best!

 

Happy Thanksgiving bros. Made a cranberry compote with Avery Rasberry Sour. I also made a beer brined and smoked turkey, garlic green beans, chicken sausage and sage stuffing. Not too bad.
