Why does that barleywine look like prop?

 

Was at S Lyndale this morning. They had a case of Rare at every register (and at least six registers open). Rare was $54.99 for the record.

 

How was the line before they opened?

 

Im guessing they didn't realize when they pulled that image off of the Google machine. They didn't type out "Prop" so I'd count it out.

 

Line at sll was probably line 180 deep when they opened. I think they had a 100 or so bottles or rare. Very well run event!

Haskells in Saint Paul had three cases of reg and a case of coffee and bw this morning. Probably still some left of each, limit one of each as well

 

I concur on the release at South Lyndale. Very well run.

Stinson's had only regular but had quite a bit left as of 9:30. They said they got 96 bottles of reg and will be choosing the lottery winners for the variants by close tonight.

 

Just want to chime in and thank any of you that joined us at South Lyndale Liquors today. I think we picked up a total of four pieces of garbage in the lot... People were friendly with each other, nobody was pushy, or angry. Just a bunch of fantastic beer loving people! I hope everyone left here happy and we look forward to seeing you all in the future.

This was my first year chasing BC. Was 180 people in line more or less than in past years?

How about others...was chasing BC easier or more difficult than past years?

 

Had a fun time at s lyndale this morning, big thanks to pj? from the store for the tasting right before 8am. Friendly group up front Also nice goose island swag, would definitely go again!

Just met the distro guys at MGM in Burnsville area, very cool dudes. Few cases of regular left there.

 

What were limits at SLL?

 

SLL guy said they had 120 bottles of Rare. Ran out right before I got to the register so I didn't have a chance to make the tough call on whether to spend $55 on 1 bottle of beer. Probably a good thing!

 

Any word in Rochester yet?

 

Minnetonka Haskell is out.

 

Definitely more variants about town on Black Friday. Wasn't particularly busy at places that weren't advertising they had it, as expected.

 

Seemed easy to get reg. Missed out on the variants. Not going to chase that much.
