by legitimate option you mean spending every minute on social media when the beer drops so you can run to the store within the hour to buy one can every 3/4 months it's brewed....Love Grimm but im not sure their production is at the point where its a regular option in the city, kind of crazy but I actually think Hill Farmstead is easier and more available in NYC

HF isn't a fair comparison - I tend to think that if they were selling cans of Double Citra or S&S#4, those would be significantly crazier. That said, finding this beer has been a gigantic pain in the ass.

Agreed, running around to try to find a single $6-$10 can from an annoyed store owners isn't a great option. As good as these beers are, it's generally not worth the time or $ to chase them down on the reg.

Super bummed about this months release. 3 stores got Tess and BBDN in and all of it was gone in a matter of hours with none of these places announcing things online. 1 can/1 bottle limits and the poachers still bought up all of these beers. I usually get 2 bottles a month but now that they are gaining steam, it's hard in these streets.

    What's a "poacher"?

Just someone who gets to the beer before you do?

Lol 'hard in these streets', indeed it is. Wonder when Grimm will up their production again ? (as they recently indicated they already did and it didn't make much difference).

1 bottle limit. This checks out.

For the record, I said legit opinion, not option. I do agree with you though.

I would argue, however, that Tess is a legit option *if* you are willing to drink it at a bar. At least, right now. I've had several now and only one of those was from my four pack of cans. Just as available on tap as HF beers.

That is very true. I'm just happy that we have all these great beers now and we can even have this conversation. Very big change from where the beer scene was just a year ago. Cheers!

Hey I know it's early but I was wondering if anyone knows if Grimm will be doing another can release of IPA around Christmas time.

Spent the day eating and drinking with family, including my 24 nephew who is graduating from college beer drinker to craft beer drinker. His preference is IPAs. We started with Heady, he has no idea who Alchemist is and never had it, he really liked it. Moved on to Tesseract, he has no idea who Grimm is and never had Tesseract, he loved it. I asked him which he preferred, it was Tesseract all the way,

Yes, they'll be releasing their next IPA on the exact hour of the exact day you arrive in NYC.

Just messing around! Nobody's heard anything yet I dont think.

    Hopefully you get lucky!

Depending on distributor's delivery schedule, next can release is ~12/7. New batch of Cloudbusting featuring Wai-iti hops this time.

Poacher to me means a shop that charges insane markup. I don't agree with calling people that desire purchasing the beer more than me poachers.

Also, just did a side by side of Tree House Julius and Grimm Tesseract. Surprisingly close, cheers to Team Grimm.
