Odd Side Black Friday Bottle Release

Maybe 100 in line. 60-90 minute wait. About 3 pallets left according to employee. Still no limit.

 

Got there at 8:45, was out before noon. Well worth it once I got a beer in my hand. Not a bad release.

 

I thought they did a great job with the release. Considering how big the turn out was the staff put in sterling work to make sure everyone left happy. Mostly a good atmosphere in the line too. Felt worried for the guy passed out by the door for a minute tho.

 

Didn't think we'd get any hazels nuts but we got plenty.

 

Not bad at all right now. Got here at 12:45 with about 50-60 in line. Was out by 1:30. Scored everything. By the time I left, there were only about 15 in line. Maybe a 10 minute wait... It moves fast. Dude didn't know how much hipster was left, but said there was more at the production facility. looked like scally, hazels, and mokka were getting low but they might've had more in back.

 

Can anyone tell me what is remaining and how the line is right now?

 

Just got here. No lines. 20 cases of HB remaining. Was told not much will hit distro since more than expected sold today.

 

I arrived at about 1145 and was out the door around 0120, the set up was ran well from what I could tell, Kudos to the Odd Sides employees today, they were doing a fine job with running out orders. Just arrived home time to enjoy some college football.

 

Great job to all OSA employees today. Was there at 8:45 as well, out by noon as previously mentioned. Can't wait to try the Mokka.

 

People walking out with 6+ cases? That's unfortunate, less distro, less for those who couldn't make the release. Really a shame there was no limit.

 

Went smooth, albeit a lot longer wait and more folks than I anticipated before 9am (got there around 830).
Only bummed about not getting a glass. Sold out before me.

Grabbed some fresh air at one point and chatted with an OSA employee who said biggest order was 27 cases. Reekris.

 

Anyone else notice differences between bottle and draft?

I think the draft has a significant thicker mouthfeel and way more smoke.

 

Considering the starting lineup at 9am when they opened, I thought that they did a great job. The guys w/the handcarts were straight hustling cases out & were non-stop. @joshflashgordon looked great in the dress for as long as he was able to keep it on; I was going to chat for a bit but it was hectic in there.

 

Anyone have a current taplist? I'm looking all over the place and coming up short.

 

We left at 1pm, but I can tell you without a doubt that whatever they've got on tap will be worth your trip. Odd Side Ales makes some awesome stuff.

I also left around 1pm & they had Cherry wood (cherry Morningwood), Hipster, Hazel's Nuts, King of Tarts, Funk Soul Brotha (dry hopped sour), Mocka Munt...those are the only ones that I can remember

 

Ok, you obviously didn't see that last post as being helpful, so how about calling the pub and asking if they have the beers you're looking for on tap? I'm guessing (the way they do things at least) that most if not all of the beers available on draft earlier will still be available (including Hipster Brunch)... Hopefully this helps a little more. I have never been to Odd Side, and been disappointed, as every time I have been there, they've had a few barrel aged offerings, along with 15-20 other choices.
