In the spirit of thanksgiving: Hint 3 - my targets state had more turkey fryer fire last year then mine
I'll echo @jonbonfondle - happy to have a job that enables all this beer madness. Thankful to have a great girlfriend by my side who puts up with my stupid hobby and will even enjoy a couple beers with me. She's even happy to visit beer centric places as core stops on our vacations. Thankful that I have family to be with for Thanksgiving. And finally thankful for all my beer friends, on this site and otherwise. Some crazy people, but I love 'em. Just an example of this - planning to camp out around midnight with 2 buddies to score some Regal and BCBS tomorrow morning
In piggybacking off of @JNForsyth's post (and in regards to beer), I am totally floored and humbled by the generosity of the people in this community. It's definitely something special to be a part of. Individually, to @JNForsyth for getting me involved here and for being an awesome dude and friend across the board. In terms of my life, I am certainly thankful for my family and how much they have helped me out and how much crap they have put up with from my end. From the encouragement in the (what seems sometimes as relentless) job hunting, they have always been my greatest advocates. I'm thankful for my community through my church as well. There are definitely some people that I have met through church that I have built great friendships with that I will never take for granted.
Thanks for sharing @Bristopher89 As far as the beer community goes, I am so thankful I found the BIF community. Sending boxes for BIFs has been some of the most fun and rewarding part of this hobby. The generosity and welcoming has been astounding. And for the rest of my life- I am so thankful to be alive with the opportunity to do (hopefully) great and impactful things. There were times I was not driven to do anything at all, and would have been content to blend into the background. Cheers everyone! and happy thanksgiving!
I'm thankful for my three kids, who make my life an absolute living hell, but also make it worth living. This is not at all a knock on people who choose not to have kids, but I can't imagine what my life would be like without them.
Definitely thankful for my family. Awesome wife, beautiful daughter and son, lots of family get-togethers. BIF community has been awesome too, lots of great things going on in here. Cheers and hope everyone that was camping out for BC stuff got theirs.. you guys are too intense for me... @brightcloud313 I am still pissed about last Saturday but I'll guess 420. Thanks! Hint #8 - I am not shipping to GA or NH
Just watched the last bottle of regal sell out right in front of me at the only store in my area that got it, solid start to the day Hint 8?: RANDY Hint 9: your state is on a coast
If anyone is able to score a extr bottle of rye, please BM me. My brewer buddy wants a bottle to sample with his rye and some others.
Scored BCBS and BCBareleywine while down in Florida and that was an unexpected event but they didn't have any regal rye. I'm sure everything will be gone by the time I'm home this afternoon.
Soooo....my target doesn't have Bourbon County Barleywine as a want, but I was able to get an extra bottle. If you would want a bottle, and you think you're my target, please like this post!
Got me a few wooden boxes today. Gonna have to have my finger on the pulse for when Barleywine, Regal, and coffee hit sometime next week due to TABC's stupidity. #FUCKTABC
