Was wondering if anyone has had the beer or checked out their tasting room? They're in Turners Falls Ma. Considering trying a different option today since my go to will be slammed. Any insight will be much appreciated. Cheers.

Been waiting to try it as well. They seem to be getting positive reviews of the 11th Street Pale. Its popped up at a few bars in Northampton. Seemed to get a good welcome.

Letters from Zelda IPA is a great beer, super clean and straddling the west vs east coast styles well. Their Belgian styles have been great too (grisette, farmhouse). Worth keeping an eye on! I hear they're releasing a porter next.

Am I the only MA resident that read this and said "sounds great...where the fck is Turners Falls?"

It's only the largest of the five villages in Montague, how does anyone not know where that is? ;-)

Becoming a good beer town. Element is a few miles away in Millers Falls, another Montague sub-village. The Five Eyed Fox in Turners has a consistently awesome draft list. At last check Lake Pleasant and Montague City do not yet have a nano.

Was there yesterday. Nice place. Great layout, clean design. Great porter. Nice couple running the place.

Not everyone in MA lives in the Boston area. I do, am I'm still trying to figure out where this Monson-thing is.

I agree. That "we're Boston and anything west of 128 is New York" attitude is annoying.

Western Massachusetts is the best part of the state and putting out fantastic beer!

No, people should stay away. Out here it's nothing but vast expanses of woods littered with syringes. Nothing to see here, folks. Just take 91 right on up north to Hill Farmstead.

That's hardly my attitude. I'm actually in Central MA, but I'm a transplant, so I may not have as strong a grasp on MA geography as you'd like me to. Turners Falls didn't ring any bells; sorry if I offended you. If you need me, I'll be at the outlet mall in Lee, doing my best to experience the "best part of the state".

Not to speak on @mrmattosgood's behalf, but as a resident of the great Wild West (a transplant myself), this part of the state definitely gets a short shrift. Other than Tree House (and I wouldn't really say Monson counts as Western Mass), people don't seem to care to know what really is in the best part of the state (provided you're into the nature thing, there's a lot of that). So it's an attitude that exists, and some people might be a little jumpy about it.

In all reality, there's no reason for you to have heard of Turners Falls, because there's nothing there. Like a lot of towns around here, it's small (really small). I'm not sure where in Central Mass you are, but I'd estimate it to be roughly the size of Mendon.

Here's the secret though: there's no traffic. To get from Abandoned Building Brewery in Easthampton to Brick and Feather will take about 35 minutes every single time. And on the way you could hit at least three breweries and two brewpubs on the way.
