Full Pint makes waaaay more sense. Wife and I were trying to figure out if Industry were part of some larger, nationwide group, to explain why Founders would be involved. I mean, FH and Mad Mex doesn't need explanation. Doubt it was intentional; between the "medium rare" burger botch, the misidentification by our diffident waitress (nice but spent a full thirty minutes on the only other table in her section explaining each of the sixty beers in laughable detail [mostly via color]), it's not surprising.

Based the glass off of a taster; not as good as most Founders, but better than many Full Pint in my memory.

    Hearing "early 2016."

I honestly have no clue. I've heard "early" 2016 to "fall" 2016. i would put my money on the latter.

My store sells the most Goose Island in western PA and that is a pathetically small amount compared to other similar brands. People could direct others to 312 as a good wheat beer instead of the MC competition. I do think that a lot of the lack of supply of bourbon county has to do with low sales but I'm fairly certain that there are a few other factors including lack of an ABI representative in the market and Goose Island having greater focus on growing other markets.

We need to remember that Regal Rye came to our market this year and from reading it apparently didn't get into a lot of other markets. I don't know if it was hoarded by employees in some places or of they just didn't get any. The lack of regular BCBS is the strange thing here.

With that, I'm soooo over this beer until next September. Unless they send us some of that Georgia and (other small state in the middle somewhere) beer that was all sent back to Chicago because of a 14% ABV cap.

I get a 4 pack of Sofie or Matilda every once in a while. Does that count? Or does it have to be the crappy stuff. <--- There, I said it.

Well that settles it. Everyone but a case of Honkers and give it to an unsuspecting relative for Christmas.

You would think there would be more Goose / AB Inbev sales in Pittsburgh since most of the local beer is shitty and over priced.

I am going Over, but not by much.

Not that any of you will care, but Pittsburgh got more of the variants then the entire state of NY if you remove NYC. Although... I know of a place that is an old small "bud" town on the border get probably a whole pallet of regular BCBS.

So should we be able to expect unlimited bcbs at consol energy center from all the goose ipa sales? I think I remember reading that you can buy it at blackhawks games

They were doing BCBS and different variants for each round of the playoffs that the Hawks and Bulls played in. Bulls didnt last long, but I think they were pouring VR during the Stanley Cup.

I stopped into Insurrection this afternoon with my wife. We chatted with Brad, the head Brewer for a bit and tried a good variety of the offerings. The gin barrel saison was a highlight for me, and the Berliner was nice as well. I tried a variety of IPA and left with half growlers of the Nelson blonde ale and double IPA. The IPA are not the quality of brew gentleman or roundabout (comparing to those in the city) yet, but I do agree with what others have said in that the groundwork is there.

In talking with Brad he definitely has a passion for saison and wild/funky ale. The gin barreled saison was also aged on kumquats which provided a nice contrast to juniper and oak from the gin barrel. It was a unique beer that I did like quite a bit. The house saison - a honey saison - was sadly not pouring due to an issue with the line.

The spot itself is pretty cool and highlighted by the glassed in oak foudre and two French wine barrels. I asked and was told the barrels are French Chardonnay filled with saison to be bretted and fruited. It's right on 50 amd will be much easier to get to when the Carnegie exit opens. It took me about 25 minutes from Hampton.

Anyone else hear from the FWGS raffle re: BTAC? If you won a bottle and would like to trade it for beer, send me a BM. I got a bottle of THH locally, but that's it.

My local got BCBS and BCBBW, and the only reason I even bought a BCBS is because they were excited to tell me that they kept a bottle back for me. Bought one so I didn't seem unappreciative.

Oh, the hardship. Being forced to buy a BCBS. How did you survive?

I was able to grab a BCBS. Barleywine, and the Regal Rye from Atlas as I was lucky enough to have a few of my tickets pulled in their lottery. Prices were higher than GE, but I guess that was expected. All in all, it was an interesting event with the movie showing next door, small draft pours of 2015 BCBS, and bottle pours of 2014 BCBS and the barleywine.
