Alright, I fell a little bit behind on my 6 days drinking since I was busy getting shit faced at the Gophers game yesterday.

Day 4:

Almanac Farmers Reserve Pluot. A lovely sour. I've enjoyed all the beer from this series and this one continues the trend. Very sour and nice stonefruit notes. Awesome pick and right up my alley @dwmetsfan!

Day 5

Prairie bomb!

Nice spice and a touch of coffee. A new tick!

Well had to work 8 hours tonight and do end of month inventory, so I couldn't do it before work.....

 

Ugh, sorry to hear about the long day... but quite the treat to come home to!

 

Missing a day for illness, family, or because life gets in the way is fine. Missing it during a share is absolutely shameful when looking at the rules of this BIF. At the very least this beer should be consumed within the 6 days. No excuses.

 

You guys and gal go to bed too early.....

 

So yeah, Im drinking by myself, and just opened up a cape may peanut brittle with my next beer after some bourbon after a CW16 and fuck yeah this peanut brittle is good with beer. I might do a LIF for the fucking peanut brittle.

 

I just unwrapped my final bottle from @JNForsyth and all I can say is WOW. Can't wait to open this later.

This just in: @robgage hates me and wants me to miss going to my customer Tuesday. ​

 

Stayed up late watching MNF (and literally all three of my fantasy teams are in close games that were still up for grabs going into the overtime), and then had to leave the house about 6 hours later, but wanted to sneak a peak at this before leaving home... sadly we are up to day 6...



This has been an actually amazing round, and "having to" drink these on my assigned day was fun. I have also figured out (not sure why it took so long) that an NFL Sunday is a good time to crack open a high ABV BA Stout, since I can nurse it all day. ANYWAY... probably won't want this one with dinner so it will by my MNF beer...



Both the base version and the BA version that Corrie sent were on my wants, by pure coincidence I found the base version Saturday during my BCBS hunting, so I'll probably try that tomorrow night to compare (I probably won't want to do both tonight). Thanks again @Corriecrafts, and I'll post the 6 day group shot tonight!

 

Glad you enjoyed everything. I liked the challenge of what do you get the guy (and his wife) who has had everything.

 

So my surgery is next Monday. Does anyone have an objection to me saving days 5 and 6 to December 20th? I wanted to fit them all in this weekend and failed .

 

Day 6 - What the fuk??? I knew last night to expect another Casey but was not ready for this. Thank you so much Andrew for this one. Cherries in my sours are my favorite and it will hit the spot. I now must wait the whole day at work before digging into this. What an amazing 6 days thanks to @vitaminvert !

Do whatever suits you best. Some things (like, I dunno, medical care), take precedence over beer.

 

What Reed said - there aren't many valid excuses for not drinking on your assigned day, but I think surgery qualifies. And if you are just gonna be able to take a sip, I'm not sure the guy who gets the rest of the bottle will fully appreciate it :-)
