I love epitome but SS yirgacheffe is my favorite carton beer. So glad I was able to snag two cans after work today...this was an awesome suprise. I'm sure I'll find epitome on tap around here so I'm not too upset I missed out on those cans

Was able to grab both today at my local Joe Canals. 2 can limit on Epitome, 1 can on SS, and they were both $5. per can.

Also they were hiding them in the back, had to ask. :astonished:

Picked up SS and Epitome at the brewery today. The Epitome is fantastic, unreal beer.

Rally hope they expand sooner than later, sucks it's so hard to get in its own state. The hour and fifteen minute drive for me just isn't worth it in my opinion. Hopefully I'll find it on tap.

My drive isn't quite as bad as yours (45 min) and I don't bother during the summer, but today was worth it. Cans of Epitome, SSYirgacheffe, Hoppun, Sit Down Son, 077xx, and Boat all available.

I'll ask tomorrow. I'm guessing it must be year round by them constantly having the cans. Can't imagine they brewed that much and sold so little for it to be from the original release.

Someone's excited about Sit Down Son. I guess you haven't tried it yet.

I'm assuming you didn't care for it.

If so, i'm in the same boat. Big let down from a favorite brewery of mine.

For those in Central Jersey looking for some, Super Buy Rite in North Plainfield on 22 got their shipment yesterday. Not sure how much they received. This and Sit Down Son. No SS.

I am pretty sure @augiecarton has said that he does not approve of this methodology. They want it to be reported if that is what they are doing.

they have to be in the fridge, not sure on whatever his local JC's is but sometimes shops don't have a fridge on the floor.. though most do.. i'd understand it not being out in plain sight so people don't take more then they are allotted... stores may not have the capacity to police patrons on not taking more then allowed

That's one of the reasons I put it in this thread. Though I likely should have tagged him.

But you just did, so thanks.

the rules are it must be kept cold, it must sell out between deliveries (hopefully not too soon) and must be equally available to all. we adjust what we offer based on these criteria. on a thing like these specials where they can't go "on the floor" till that morning having them in back is fine, as long as anyone looking for it has an equal shot at it. if you asked, and you got it, and were subject to the same can limit as everyone else that is within the spirit of the deal.

FWIW Super Buy Rite of North Plainfield absolutely has held back cans for "regulars". I had one guy (nearly called him a gentleman) tell me that outright.
