BCBS Sightings - Chicago

It seems that most places that have anything left are overcharging. I've seen a few places in the burbs lately offering 4 packs between $32-$40.

 

Best bet is to have it on tap and enjoy!

if your looking for places in the south loop try Flo and Santos, last thursday they had a goose island tap takeover and they had prop, cherry rye, coffee and regular bcs '12 and '13 on tap

 

Is it possible to negotiate with places to lower the price?

 

WLV had it for $6.50 a bottle limit 4

 

Copperfields on Clark and Huron has singles of BCBS, Coffee, and BW at counter. Not sure on price but I'd guess the $8-$10 range

 

It was on tap at State & Lake last week. Damn tasty !

 

Er, not downtown (or even city, but not too far), but Cardinal in Niles about 2 weeks ago put out a case and a half of regular (9 4-packs). I went in the next week (a week ago) and it wasn't out anymore, but they were also rearranging their beer inventory - not sure if it sold out or was just in back waiting for a new home (didn't ask).

Also, one other suburban place that was (trying) to sell 4-packs for $40 in December, I think, changed hands, and they had 3 4-packs left recently with a new sticker at $24.99.

 

That's West Lakeview Liqours. Had 2+ cases today, single bottles for $6.50 I think.

 

Puerto Rico beverage on Augusta has 4packs for 20-22 bucks.

 

Regular is at the Mariano's at 1615 S Clark, $8.99 per, 1 case limit.

 

West Lakeview never received an allotment and sounds like they might not be. Sucks for them.

Also I'm having a harder time finding it around the city this year than I did last year. I've only looked a few places, so I guess I shouldn't outright say it's nonexistent but it just hasn't really turned up much.

 

Pretty sure they usually hold it for regulars

 

Mariano's on Clark does have regular but at $10.99 a bottle.

 

Weird. Guy who answered the phone there said $8.99, you're saying $10.99 and my wife just said the four she picked up were each $8.95.

 

It's early yet. Once the second wave hits this week and next, the city (should) be swimming in the stuff to the point where you'll see it on the shelf and say 'I'm good'.

 

It's pretty outrageously priced this year. I've already had the opportunity to buy more and said "I'm good."

 

Me too....and that's never happened before

 

I was seeing places with stacks of cases for sale just sitting on the floor for days in 2013 the week after release. Last year I didn't even see that.
