I just checked out Founders' twitter feed and they just responded to someone who wanted a bottle of CBS this year. Their response:

"We may or may not release CBS this year -- you never know!"

That indifferent answer makes me think something might be in the works. Has anyone heard anything about this?

I heard from a reputable source they were going to bottle it in the fall/winter this year.

Isn't that their standard response when it comes to CBS?

I'm saying they won't release it this year, but you never know.

Besides space issues, why wouldn't they? Success is worth striking again and the large format is perfect for group tasting's leaving their other 2 BS products to be drank daily.

Availability of the bourbon maple syrup barrels is the limiting factor.

I'm sure barrel-aging space is a concern too.

Also, there's the idea that you don't want to make too much of something or else it won't be as special. An example is Abyss. However, given the allure of CBS, I doubt this will happen

Hard to imagine another post that more clearly illustrates everything that I hate about the current trading culture, not trading itself--the culture.

I enjoyed it. In the end, it's not all that much better or worse than KBS.

Why would anyone want to see CBS in bottles when the possibility of Black Biscuit is out there and it has never been bottled?

    Wales, bro.

Incidentally, don't they release it on draft pretty regularly?

Black Biscuit>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CBS. I do not let "facts" get in the way of my opinion and besides my opinions are always right anyways.

CBS and a second release means losing some of the walishness. Black Biscuit is a bigger wale at this point, never been bottled.

You really do not see BB or CBS on draft that often.

I disagree. At this point I think any Founders/GI ~10k bottle release will be an insta shelf-whale. Has there been any indication to the contrary?

Black Biscuit isn't in the top 10 beers and has a significantly lower average rating. CBS was well known before the bottling, I certainly knew about it within a month of joining the site, and that was before bottles were release. I couldn't have even told you what Black Biscuit was before just looking it up. There's no way that Black Biscuit generates more excitement than CBS would.
