    Other Half Brewery - http://www.otherhalfbrewing.com/, https://instagram.com/otherhalftaproom/

Address: 195 Centre St Brooklyn, NY 11231

Tap Room Hours: Wednesday through Friday: 5 pm to 10 pm, Saturday: 12 pm to 10 pm, Sunday: 12 pm to 6 pm

Closest Subway Station: Smith-9th St (F and G Train)

Directions From Subway: Walk West on W.9th Street to the intersection, Make a Left on Smith St, walk two blocks and make a right on Centre St, Tap Room is halfway down the block across from the McDonalds. (Approx. 2 min walk)

Parking: Street parking is available near the brewery, but it can be difficult to find an open spot. Parking a few blocks away is suggested. Please don't park at McDonalds. Despite what anybody else says on this thread, don't just use their parking lot for your beer needs. They are running their own business. They have already mentioned it to OH.

Current Tap List: Checking Untappd is the best way to find out what is currently available. Pours are available in 4oz/8oz/12oz/16oz depending on the beer. Tasting flights are not available.

Growler Fills: Other Half uses a Counter Pressure fill system. This requires that all 32oz and 64oz growlers have a 1.125” standard threaded opening.

Other Half branded growlers require a $5 deposit. Growlers from other breweries are welcome, but must follow those measurement guidelines. Not all beers are available for growler fills, please check the tap room menu board for details.

Can and Bottles Sales: Cans and Bottles are for sale in the tap room when they are available. Releases are announced via Other Half’s Instagram/Twitter/Facebook. Can releases occur every 2 to 3 weeks. Bottle releases are more sporadic. Cans and Bottles cannot be consumed on the premises.

Other Half Gear: OH branded growlers, glasses, and t-shirts are available in the tap room.

Credit Cards: $10 Minimum. No Amex.

    Outside Beer:
Do not open bottles or cans in the Tap Room unless you have permission from the Other Half crew. Do not drink while waiting outside on line for releases. The sidewalk is NYC property and you can get a open container ticket.

Kids and Dogs: Yes both are permitted. In the case of dogs, be aware there are brewery cats that hang around.

Local Eats: McDonalds, Buttermilk Channel, Prime Meats, Frankie’s Spuntino, Court Street Grocer, plus many other places along Court St. Outside food is allowed in the Tap Room, just be aware there is not much room to eat.

Local Bars within a ~20min walk:MiniBar, The Owl Farm, Mission Dolores, Threes Brewing, Bar Great Harry, 4th Ave Pub,Pacific Standard, Supercollider, Park Slope Ale House, Lavender Lake.

Local Bottle Shops:First Place Provisions, Whole Foods Brooklyn.

Full credit to @Kanger with new public service announcement about NOT using McD's parking lot while at Other Half Brewery.

Tangentially on topic, but for Local Eats, I'd recommend the new Pizza Moto across Hamilton Ave. from the brewery. I stopped by there for dinner after a trip to OH last Wednesday night, and the food and atmosphere were both excellent.

Anyone know if there's gonna be a release this Saturday? And, if so, what?

There should be. As far as I know it'll be AGE and Baby Diamonds. I'm sure they'll announce something tomorrow.

Does anyone know if t-shirts are in stock at OH? If so does anyone have a link to a picture? I need to throw a shirt in a SS box. Thanks

Lower limits too. Four 4-packs of Baby Diamonds and three 4-packs of AGE. Smaller batches or just trying to spread it around more?

I wonder if this has anything to do with neighborhood folks complaining about the riff-raff so early in the morning?

Safe to assume baby diamonds will be on for growlers and hitting taps too?

Want to try it, but not gonna wait hours for cans.

Very rarely do the releases require long waits. Street Green was different because it was a Trillium collab.

I've been to four can releases - I go around 1 or 2 PM, wait in a very short line, and get my beer. Very painless.

No need to wait hours! Last release I walked up around 11 with minimal wait and plenty of beer left.

When I was there Sunday they had a few in stock. Which shirt are you looking for? Not sure there are pics online though...

I've been to numerous releases and I don't think I've ever waited less than 30 minutes. Usually more like an hour. Maybe its better if you go later in the day but I haven't personally been able to do that (at least so far).

I was sort of assuming that with a new beer the line would be longer. Hopefully its not and this shorter trend you guys mentioned continues.

Just wanted to see it since I don't remember what they looked like. Thanks for the reply. Was thinking OH would be a good shirt to send out west.

    Bingo.

There are also lower limits on these beers, so the speculation is:

    1) More cans distributed to bars/beer stores, or
    2) More people get the beer.

If its behind door number two, then show up at 4 and you'll be good to go. Even though its a new beer, its still a Session IPA. I don't expect mayhem.

The basic is the OH logo on front with Other Half on the back in black. Hop Showers logo shirt I think are in stock too.

They do have some awesome cans. I'm going to head over there Saturday to pick both of them up and fill up a growler.
