I am not going to lie, I just tried Celebration for the first time that night and really enjoyed it. I'll be buying a few more trunk cases soon!

I can't believe that they are "hiding" Penn Tuxedo. Now that you mention it, the guy that grabbed me the 120 did say they had it. That beer was ok, glad the spruce wasn't strong.

Putting some Nunkin into barrels that previously held @wiglewhiskey's Wheated Whiskey, GratitudeBarleywine, and originally Bourbon.
From what I've had of EE's barrel-aged beers so far, the bigger they are, the better (BBA Grat>BBA Fatter Gary>BBA Steelcut Oatmeal Stout). There are some kinda weird old fruit/turpentine flavors that the barrels seem to impart, & the higher alcohol & overall intensity of the bigger beers cover that up while still leaving the good barrel character. That said, I like me some Nunkin & would still be up for checking this one out.

 

I went in yesterday and was told 12/14 as well. I should have asked what time. Does anyone know? 9?

 

What the hell is the point of putting beer in a barrel in hopes that the beer covers up the effect of the barrel? Seems to me to be defeating the purpose.

It's def a sore spot. I also asked the GE MD south hills about xocoveza last week and he said it's not available yet to which I said GEShadyside has it available today. He said "yeah he seems to get a lot of things we don't". I could tell he was salty so I asked why that is to which he said "you'll have to ask him". But clearly some animosity there. I am just hoping WF brings some more options to us south hills guys

South Hills people just need to pass through the liberty tunnel, cross the bridge, then make a mad dash up bigalow, cut onto centre then sit in traffic for 5 mins. Problem Solved!!!
