Poachers are the numerous people following the truck around town with their grandparents buying all of the bottles as it gets delivered inside. I see this every time a bottle release drops around here.

    Oooooooh. OK.

I haven't heard the word "poacher" used in that context before.

Seemed like a pretty strong word for "truck-chasers" so I didn't want to assume that's what you meant.

So I guess, technically, it's still someone who gets to the beer before someone else....just through more persistent means.

    Got it.

In case anyone missed out on Tesseract cans and still wants some, I stumbled upon a bunch at Stinky Bklyn in Chelsea (107 W 20th). I passed due to price ($6.25 a can - limit 2 cans) but thought I'd pass it on in case someone was still hunting.

So I had Tesseract on draft at Marta in NYC tonight... and it tastes like a completely different beer than I've been drinking from the can. And my wife agreed. It was on another plane from the canned version. Brighter, fruitier, and just plain better. Maybe my first 5 star check in on untappd. Weird.

Hey guys we have new releases coming out next week. Hope you like HOPS

Echoplex - double dry-hopped AWA featuring El Dorado, Falconers, and Columbus and fermented with several strains of lacto, wild yeasts, and "brett" trois. Draft only.

Cloudbusting - DIPA brewed with 100% NZ hops. Totally different from the last version of Cloudbusting, this one heavily features Wai-iti hops. Draft and cans. This is our last can release until February at least (Doing Lambo Door draft only in January).

That beer changes every day. It seems to hit peak fruitiness 2.5 weeks or so after packaging. Everything depends on so many factors, but... i do think a perfectly-cared-for draft version is always going to be the best way to drink any IPA.

Likely that growlers are available for Echoplex?

Unfortunately we were only able to secure a smaller fermenter for Lambo that month, and we decided it would be a shitshow if we reduced our can numbers... better to just have it on draft.

That's not up to us, but I expect so!

Any chance I'll be able to score more than 1 can this time? I LOVE Grimm but finding cans has been a real hassle:slight_frown:

I'd expect it to be exactly the same as the Tesseract release. Won't get better until Grimm finds a permanent home due to beer dropping randomly in different districts/boroughs and people flocking to it.

Any idea when cloudbuster will start shipping,

Also, all of your beers have been absolutely amazing (also love that you guys actually interact with the community). Any thought on a kickstarter to get an official brewery with higher capacity. It's almost worse to get lucky w one can of crazy good IPA and have to wait so long for more. PLEASE BREW MORE! you guys are awesome!

Anyone in VA see if Double Negative hit Beltway Brewing for fills? Nothing on their FB page about it.

Yes, both Foodtown locations keep them behind the counter with the cashiers. You have to ask to know they even received it.

At this point in time now that the initial rush is over and the clock is ticking on an IPA, those cans should be out where people can see them.

As if the Mass beer scene wasn't good enough already, I was at Row 34 in Boston last night and they had Tesseract and Purple Prose on draft. #jelly

Ask about Happy Hour in Boston. Then you'll want to come back to NYC! Just kidding, Boston is great. Enjoy your vacation.
