I agree. This place is a real work of art, from the road in, to the walk out. It is a must if one is in the area. Good food as well!

Local: Night Shift- Free old school arcade games, cornhole, and live music inside. Patio that allows dogs and food trucks outside. Also, the beer is awesome!
State: Jacks Abbey- Ive been going since they opened in 2011, the first place was small but intimate and I got to know the guys well. Now, new tap room that is HUGE, but expanded offerings (Triple dry hopped Hoponius Union anyone?) and now food. Bonus that they are now totally baby/kid friendly.
New England: Beard Brewing in Ct- Kinda weird spot in a mall type of building, small space too, but the beer is awesomely fresh and people very friendly.

I loved going to 2nd Shift when I lived in MO. There was a national Ukulele festival happening on the site they share with a retreat/conference center once when I was visiting. After a couple Liquid Spiritual Delights, I felt like I was in a David Lynch movie.

I like Bell's over Founders (since they are close by)

Half-Acre is great but very small, no food at the moment.

I had a nice time at Green Flash and the new Alesmith Taproom in San Diego the other month.

Avery: Beautiful facility, great setup w/ payment that works wherever you want to make purchases, clean, awesome beer and food. I would be there weekly if I was a local.

Revolution in Chicago is industrial as hell but look at the barrels!

Courtyard in New Orleans because it has a very relaxed atmosphere...For a bigger and more local brewery, I like Two Roads--really interesting building.

Tired Hands is on another level when it comes to food (beer too, obviously). Both the original Brewpub and the Fermentaria.

Love Carton as well. Super cozy and the crowd is always fantastic.

Honorable mention goes to Threes Brewing, because they have the best backyard in NYC. Perfect in the summer.

I really like Avery's new bistro / taproom in Boulder - this is the place if you want overpriced artisanal food.
I like Great Divide's Barrel room in Denver - good place if you want to chill and drink some Yeti.
For FUN though, it's hard to beat Black Bottle in Fort Collins. They have stuffed squirrels above the bar.
I haven't been to a ton of brewery taprooms though, compared to some of you. Maybe 30?

Can I just say Portland ME? Ok, I'll split it up:
Breweries: Rising Tide / Oxbow Blending : Rising tide has awesome food trucks, Oxbow blending around the corner has killer tap list and guest taps.
    - Oxbow. Went to Goods from the Woods. Coolest brewery event ever (besides the original Hill Farmstead events in the camping days)
    - Alchemist brewpub back in the day
    - I'll second 1 Industrial way. Allagash, Foundation, Bissell, and don't forget Austin Street. Food trucks. Awesome.

    Bars:
    - Ebenezer's, Blackback, The Reservoir, Parker Pie, Worthy Burger, Kings head, Kingdom, Row 34, Lord Hobo

Logsdon (Beautiful location and people. Unfortunately that can't happen anymore, at least not at the farmhouse)
Alpine (Awesome dive bar atmosphere and amazing bar food like deep-fried green beans)
Jester King (beautiful Texas Hill Country, great farmhouse vibe, good pizza next door)
Minneapolis Town Hall (great food, good pub atmosphere, great casks, wide variety)
Lazy Monk (awesome European beerhall atmosphere with such underrated and awesome beers)
Dave's Brewfarm (beautiful northern Wisconsin and an ever-changing rotation of tasty and experimental beers, plus a real locals vibe)
Dangerous Man (hipster-ish dive bar atmosphere and lots of great beer for a decent price, not to mention board games)
Upright (very friendly, effortlessly cool basement space with great records on and the smell of fermentation and aging wafting everywhere)
Cascade (you can drink a ton of their beers without spending $6,392, plus vintage bottles are cool)
Cellarmaker (so much beer that you can't get elsewhere and the sense that locals own the place)
La Cumbre (a neighborhood hangout that just happens to serve awesome beer)
Stone (the sheer audacity of this makes it worth seeing)
New Glarus (no real great taproom experience to speak of, but you can't beat the view and the majesty of the brewery)

Pretty much any one of the Pizza Ports, but if I had to choose one it would be their Carlsbad location.
