Damn it...proven wrong again! That pushed out of the brewery quick...especially to a graveyard market like the Bay City-Saginaw area. ;-)

 

If anyone in the A2 area sees this, would you be kind enough to BM me with a location? My girlfriend lives out that way, and when I described the beer to her (she knew who Founders was, but not this beer), her eyes got wide. I'd love to help her track some down!

 

Interesting. I just talked to the wholesaler for Saginaw Co. and they supposedly don't even have it in the warehouse yet.

That's a cool find. I'm sure since Meijers is carrying Founders, especially something like breakfast stout - They can and will move through a lot of product.

I'm just curious to see what will unfold if the buyers at Meijers are in love with any of the limited releases, and seeing the storm that will ensue if they get their hands on something like KBS.

Can any distributors chime in that deal with Meijers, and let us know if they are selling to one person for multiple stores or if they are just on an individual store to store basis. I'm sure each state varies, so the answers might change

 

Wilder Rd. in Bay City. They only got one case yesterday and it's all gone now. According to a guy from Fabiano Bros. (distributor) they will have more tomorrow, as will Kroger and pretty much everywhere else in the area.

 

I spoke with that guys' boss. It was sent by mistake to a couple accounts and is being pulled from the shelves tonight and will not be released until Sept 4th.

I went to 4 places tonight, didn't find any fresh BKStout...so I bought a bottle of last years. I'm not even happy about it, but I bought it anyway...That's when you know you're really in deep.

 

Admitting your problem is the first step, man.

 

Dang guys sounds like I hear the disappointment in these posts about year old FBS but I have been steadily drinking on last year's supply from my fridge and while the coffee may have faded quite a bit what is left is still way better than a lot of other stouts offered on the shelf these days. I am actually enjoying the fact that it seems to have more of a chocolate profile now with just a hint of coffee behind it. Still that said, I cannot wait to throw another fresh case or two down in the basement for this year.

 

I know I have a decent amount of last years left, and I think a couple from 2010, so when '12 comes out I will have to do a 3 year vert!
