Ballast Point Instagram says it'll be in 22oz bottles and will be hitting store shelves throughout the US next week. Looks like they've brewed this before in the past.

They'll get a couple good months out during the transition phase and then it's all going down the same road as Alpine.

I've had a mint stout, and I thought it was gross. I imagine this will be gross too. Mint and beer do not go well together.

Totally, because Green Flash trying to figure out how to brew Alpine beer is totally like Ballast Point continuing to brew the same beer they've been making day after day after day...

Stone had a mint stout a few years back that was awesome! On the other hand, shipyard mint stout tasted like mouthwash

Well said! Green Flash Alpine is no good. Ballast continuing to brew great beer regardless of owner is same as In Bev keeping the quality of Bourbon County.

See my previous rants about increasing price and shrinking bottle size only to sabotage the beer quality with an inferior clone.

Did you try stone's mint stout or the original version by ken Schmidt? I thought they were both great. I'be had mint stouts from other breweries like Bootleggers and found them terrible. All depends on the Brewery.

Sounds good, definitely will give it a try if it's available in my area.

The only other peppermint brew I've had was Two Brother's peppermint porter. I was skeptical at first but it made for a nice dessert beer. Hope I can say the same about this!

The version I had want bad but mos def not the best. If they would ever bottle victory at cereal, I might have to buy a case. Captain crunch V@S.
