Rum barrel aged beer

    So I'm sitting with a friend drinking a goose island bourbon stout 2015. Not really enjoying it and I think a big factor is the bourbon. So, what is the best rum aged beer??? Thanks!!

    Definitely a good one.

    Some others worth trying:

    La Cumbre 4th Anniversary (barleywine in rum barrels)
    Elevation Montanya (imperial horchata porter in Montanya Rum barrels)
    Prairie has a few "Pirate" beers aged in rum

    Best rum barrel beer I've had was Prairie Pirate Bomb, great stuff. Evolution Spring Migration is solid rum barrel aged beer that should be easy to get.

    It's against my religion to hype Florida beers, but RareR DOS was the best Rum Barrel Aged Beer I was had.

    Extremely Angry beast from Clown shoes is half bourbon half Rum blend I believe ...and delicious

    Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival 2014: Founders drops a rum barrel aged coffee bean infused porter on us. OMG must have had 4 or 5 samples, best brew that year.

    Best rum aged was Ale Apothecary's Rum barrel aged la tache with white peaches.

    Rum barrel black tuesday was the best for me. Love that Rum King though.

    The new Modern Times rum-aged Monster's Park is phenomenal. Find it. Way better than the bourbon barrel version and the original.

    I'll throw in another vote for Indeed's Rum King, but I admit that I've only had a handful of rum barrel aged beers. There just not as common as bourbon/whiskey barrel aged beers. Odell Russian Pirate comes in close second.

    Had Rum BA Smokin' Guns at Westbrook over the summer. I'm a huge rum fan (which is great cause we have some solid local rum in Hawai'i), the Smokin' Guns was awesome. Buttery rum goodness.

    Maui Brewing also released Black Pearl, their imperial coconut Porter aged in local rum barrels. Wish they would release it more often or in barrels, amazing.
