    I drank it when I got it. It was good but not as good as i'd hoped. Certainly not worth the price of an extra bottle. I know that it was well received by others, I wish I shared that enthusiasm.

    I'll second that opinion - I found Cognac Masterpiece underwhelming (admittedly I had sky high expectations) and would prefer a glass of regular Eclipse over it maybe…4 out of 5 times. I have another bottle for some day in the future to re-assess though.

    I thought Cognac Masterpiece was great. Much thicker mouthfeel and not as boozy. Far beyond normal Eclipse beers for my tastes, closer to the big boys like BA DL and Toppling Goliath stouts

    Scouring the Untappd checkins, looks like there's a Raspberry Eclipse which might be the party bottle this year….

    Great party last night! Not overcrowded, plenty of (good) food to go around and lots of beer, beer and more beer. My highlights from the archive were 2007 Stitzel Weller Eclipse, 2014 Coconut Eclipse (still plenty of coconut) and Cognac Masterpiece. From the new 2015 releases, Vanilla and EC12 were my favorites. Java Coffee is rockin too. I wasn't a fan of the High West bourbon + rye. As mentioned, Raspberry Eclipse was the party bottle. Great event, I plan to go back next year.

    I hope they get into bottling coconut Eclipse for purchase one of these days. Coconut Eclipse > Prop.

    The best thing at the Eclipse party was that tiny little hottie Myra. Even my date was like "damn, she hot."

    I get the feeling someone in the Sacramento Beer Group is quite lucky.

    They did bottle Coconut. It was the party bottle last year. I can't agree that it's better than Prop, but awesome good tho.
