Wow this is good. I shouldn't start this early after last night's intake but I've been awake for awhile now. Sitting by the fire and enjoying a quiet morning, couldn't resist cracking this one open.

Good morning BA, hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday.

This is the best fruited Berliner weissbier I’ve ever had. Big flavors of tart/juicy raspberry, green apple, lemon, lime, pear, wheat, cracker, light white vinegar/funk, hay, straw, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Moderate acidic tartness and light peppery yeast spice on the finish; with great all around robustness and complexity of the raspberry and berliner flavors. Balanced acidity and wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Great balance of malt and tartness as well. Still have a couple more bottles, but this is still on the shelf in some places as well. So delicious. Looking forward to trying the apricot and blueberry versions of this beer if they ever hit distro.

Last of the 4 pack I got, still tasting fantastic. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, lime, peach, pineapple, mango, berry, pepper, and pine; with some light caramel/bready malt and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitter finish; with a nice sticky, resinous, and dry finish. I love Mosaic hops and this definitely is a great showcase of their character.

Wow this is aging gracefully right now. Incredible. Huge flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and light-moderate licorice/dark fruits. Balanced bourbon/oak spiciness and roasted bitterness on the finish; with a full bodied creamy/silky and fairly slick mouthfeel. Smooth finish with a small lingering warming with zero booziness. Definitely has smoothed out a bit of the rougher boozy edges after 8 months since bottling. Tons of complexity. I look forward to buying more next spring; along with its little brother Heresy, which I feel is very similar at a lower ABV.

Checking out my first 2015. Wow! This is noticeably different at the bigger ABV this year; but not too far off of the standard expectations. Flavors of huge raisin, plum, fig, apple, caramel, toffee, molasses, brown bread, vanilla, coconut, toasted oak, bourbon, and a touch of herbal hops. Balanced bourbon/oak spiciness against sweetness on the finish; with a medium-full bodied creamy/silky finish with zero booziness and only a light warming on the finish from alcohol. It’s amazing how smooth this is right now for the ABV. I would say as far as the ABV difference; overall flavor intensity and barrel character presence were both enhanced; at least from what I know about the fresh versions. Looking forward to seeing this aged as well down the road.

Good Sunday BAs! I've been up for hours reading, time to get things started. Cracked open a bottle of Hipster Brunch stout. This is such a tasty brew! An excellent Sunday morning sipper.

    Cheers all...

    Good morning, BA's!

It's a beautiful, but cold morning at the Jersey shore. We'll probably take another long walk on the beach, which is nearly deserted this time of year, before heading back up the Parkway. NBS and dinner with friends at a restaurant with a great selection of craft beers awaits. My job is particularly challenging at the end of the year so I have to squeeze out every moment of fun I can. Cheers!

Was at friends last night and offered a beer. My choices- Michelob Ultra or Corona Light. Chose the Corona Light, I should have gone with the dirty dish water as it would have had more flavor. Later he's talking beer with me and tells me that his favorite is Chimay. I promptly went nuts wanting to know that if Chimay is his favorite beer then how can he not have anything better than this piss water in his home. His answer was that those beers are what his wife likes--what the hell, grow a pair and buy what you like too.

Very overpriced for the quality - glad it was only brewed once.

Good morning! Getting the day started big with my NBS black ale - "Labyrinth" from Uinta Brewing Co., Salt Lake City, Utah, bottled 12/05/14:

First impression is lots of drying oak, and I'm searching for the licorice and the alcohol (13.2%). I'll sip on this, then add a few more notes on NBS. Have a great Sunday everyone.
