    Hello ya'll!

I've been wanting to host a tasting for a while and I finally figured out the details. This isn't going to be a typical bottle share though. Inspired by brewery's that do charity work, I came up with idea. Instead of everybody bringing a bottle or two, I will be providing all the beer (Good deal for you, right?!). Instead of bringing beer to share, I ask that you bring a donation for the local food shelf. If you would normally bring a $20 bottle to share, consider donating $20 of food and household goods. I live in **** Rapids, so the local food shelf is the Anoka County Brotherhood Council in Anoka (http://www.acbcfoodshelf.org). Visit their website for more info on the organization or to see a list of suggested donations. I'll have boxes for the donations at my apartment and will deliver them on 12/21.

I'm hosting the tasting at my apartment on Sunday, December 20 from 2-5pm. Since I don't have a huge place, I will have to cap attendance. Message me if you're interested and I'll give you directions to my apartment.

    Current Beer List:
    - Barrel-Aged Darkness (2015)
    - Darkness, Non-BA (2015)
    - Rum King
    - Logsdon Seizoen Bretta
    - De Garde Bu Weisse
    - Fremont Barrel-Aged Dark Star
    - Prairie Bomb!
    - BCBS

I may add more beers to the list if we don't have enough to drink that day. I can provide tasting glasses for folks or bring you own if you have a favorite.

    Cheers!

    1) Very cool idea. 2) I read an interesting article about how many food shelves find cash donations the most helpful as they can buy food at better prices than we can. I have no idea about this one, but it might be worth asking if they would prefer monetary donations or food.

    Cheers!

Good suggestion! There is a link on the webpage for ACBC that allows for monetary donations to be made online. If people would rather do that, that's fine with me.
