Grapefruit Sculpin... I gave away 4 of the 6 cans after I forced down the first two.

With all the hype behind kbs the first time I had it was quite a let down. Very little barrel and quite bitter

Pretty much every Stone beer I had when I was in California, specially the stouts.

I also concur with the Abyss. It was the first imperial stout I have had and I might as well start with a rare one, right? (It was the 2014 vintage) I thought it was pretty good at first, but after half of an 8 once glass on tap, it was quite tedious to finish. I will try it again at some point, just not anytime soon.

I feel like they occasionally make decent beers, but most are mediocre. Their higher alcohol beers don't even try to hide the alcohol; they taste more alcoholic than they actually are. I think many of their barrel aged series are undrinkable. Glad you enjoy them though; someone must.

Same here. Tank 7 is too hoppy for a Saison.

Recently on Dec. 5. Clown Shoes Flight of the Angry Beast. I cannot get enough of their barrel aged beers. When I heard about this release it seemed like the holy grail for me based on the beers mixed together to form this one. Unfortunately for me it was too thin, too boozy (I think more from the barrel flavors) and lacked the layers/complexity I've come to expect from this brewery with their BA beers. Perhaps too much going on here with three different beers and different barrel types.

    Historically KBS and Prairie BOMB.

Perennial BA Abraxas, NG Wild Peach, RR Pliny, SP Black and Wild B2, SP Merci, and SP Derivation 2 were all major disappointments.

I still hold Side Project most dear though.

Sierra Nevada Barrel Aged Narwhal. Don't get me wrong, still a fantastic, fantastic beer, but was definitely not as good as I was expecting. Tasted somehow like a watered-down version of the regular Narwhal. I don't know, maybe I'm biased because Narwhal is probably my all-time favorite beer and I was expecting more.

Just about anything I have from Surly. Their beer has no mystery. The first sip slaps you in the face like you owe it child support, and every following sip is just the same.

Prairie Bomb! and KBS were both big let downs for me as well.

Goose Island's BCBS 2015...I had 2014 and I loved it! But the 2015 for me IMO there was just too much bourbon hitting me. I still enjoyed it, but compared to 2014 I was a bit let down. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great beer!

Other beers that were just MEH
    1) Pure Hoppiness
    2) Celebration Ale
    3) 4 Beans
    4) Daisy Cutter Pale Ale

I can see that, especially with Uncle Jacob's stout or tweak. Those are some pretty boozey stouts that aren't too apologetic about their Abv. Thanks for the reply!
