Sure, let's go with your angle. It's probably better that way.

Prestige Liquors in Countryside had regular BCBS today. It's $12.99 per bottle and 3 allowed per 12pk of other Goose product though.

I was in a liquor store yesterday and the guy said he is getting another shipment of regular the week of Christmas. Could be another year of second wave regular.

Not meant as a personal attack, just got me to reflecting: As a beer buyer, its honestly really tough to balance taking care of your customers and your coworkers at the same time. In the case of a BCBS release, your 'customers' for the most part are not the usual customers that you see stopping in on a regular basis for their hard earned everyday beer, but the cliche characters we all know, love, probably have been, and hate. I recognized like two people within the first 25 of my line. And when you have great coworkers who have great taste, are beer nerds themselves and spend their shit-retail-wage dollars buying your beer every week, it makes this conundrum even harder! Some people forget that employees and customers arent necessarily two different things. That being said, I think communication is the key- let the masses know upfront how much will actually be available so they arent wasting their time.

Had the experience of watching one of these characters walk out of my go to because he was disappointed that they did not have any variants for him (today) and would not be buying regular BCBS (which they had).

Cardinal Liquor in Joliet has some regular ($14.99) and a couple Rare. A buddy and I each grabbed a Prop when we were on our lunch break today. Cringed a bit at the $35 price tag but I really wanted a variant this year.

Guy said $140 for the rare at which point I literally laughed out loud. Before leaving he offered it up for $110. I politely declined.

That is absurd pricing! But you know someone will buy it.

No doubt about it. And yes someone sadly probably will pay. I couldn't even enjoy it if cost that much. Hell I don't think I could bring myself to pay $60 retail for 16.9 ounces of beer.

It was $85 there on Black Friday. No I didn't buy one. Instead I paid $29.99 for Regal.

I would've done the same thing. I honestly didn't expect to see regular BCBS there today let alone Prop. I figured I was lucky to have found a Prop today, $35 was price I was willing to pay. However as it turns out one of my work vendors is taking me and a few others to the Blackhawks game tomorrow night and we're hitting Goose Island before we go to the game. Looks like I should be able to have a couple of variants.

Clybourn I hope, because Fulton isn't open on Tuesdays...unless they open special for Hawks/Bulls games that I don't know about.

Anyone know of a place selling regal for around $100 still? Beer seems like its screaming my dads name for Christmas.

Crap you're right! Meh Clybourn is still only about 3 miles from the stadium.

3 miles in chicago is like being 25 miles away in the suburbs.
