What we're finding with many of our releases (recent Divine Reserves, F.U.N. and more) is that if it's not "nerd beer" (read as: Barrel-aged Imperial XXX) then it's not likely to get much in the way of initial buzz or response. There are a couple of reasons for this, I think:
    1) It's not the big, bold and aggressive style of beer that many got into craft beer for, or continue to drink. Belgians especially are finesse driven and even the special releases are often better suited to a 4pk series like Icon or seasonals
    2) Often times, the beers aren't so different from something regularly available on shelves/tap around town. That's not to say that the liquid is not exceptional or "of note", but in a community constantly being flooded by new, they don't often stand out.

Now, all of that said, knowing that @awinkro and Brettanomyces in barrels are involved, I'm unbelievably thirsty for this. Had some tastes of BB2 with Brett and enjoyed. Knowing that Aaron and the Saint Arnold team revisited with that being their intention is exciting.

I'm not much for chasing beers. I pass on just about everything we get here...but, this I would hunt and hoard. And I just might.

Also, those corked and caged bottles of barrel fermented saison you teased us with via Twitter...I'm thirsty!!!

@TheGentleman I need those corked and caged bottles too, Aaron's picture has me really intrigued.

Not a huge Brett or sour fan, working on it, but this was a delicious beer. Well done Aaron and SA.

I picked one up to go at the closest location I could. I'm thinking I'll be able to find it somewhere I can just drink one soon. Saving this one for a Christmas party on the 19th to share with a couple of friends.

Take away at Craft Pride for $10/bottle, FWIW.

Billy's on Burnet had a bunch yesterday to-go as did Dig Pub, but not sure if it was "on-site only" there.

Found this at Banger's for on-site consumption only and then picked up a bottle to go at Craft Pride. I loved it. Very well done. Having some real luck with Bishop's Barrel now that I knew to look. Thanks for the heads up, BAs.

Also sitting on one bottle of 02, meant for a vertical. Missing the last couple though....

I thought it was interesting that the bottle label for 12 didnt mention the Brett anywhere, or at least that I saw. But Im looking trying it in the next couple of days. Bishops Barrels and RA Mysterium Verums are some of my favorite locals to track down and try.

Purchased four today at Petrol Station at $8 a bottle. This beer is delicious.

Picked one up today for $5. I waited almost a year to drink BB2. I wonder how long I should wait for this one.

Price for this beer seems to be all over the place. $10 at one place, $11 at another, $12.50 at another.

I've paid between 8-12 dollars for the BB series. Ten seems to be the price I see the most. I'm guessing there is still some decent profit at 8 bucks so 12 seems like way too much.

I was wondering about the price too. I paid $5.50-ish at whole foods and couldn't believe my luck. I thought it was a typo on beermenus. Must be a combo of xmas ale being cheaper than an imp stout or bw and wine barrels being cheaper than a spirit that must have made the cost a lot cheaper. Seems like most places are still charging the normal price though.

I opened a bottle of BB2 about 4-5 months ago. It was cardboardy, oxidized, awfulness. It was great when it was fresh though and the Brett BB2 I had at GABF in 2014 was awesome.

My general experience has been that the BB series is great fresh, but does not age very well, experienced this with BB1,2,3,5, and 6...

It's because WF charges retail prices (25-30% margin) on their bottled beer, not bar prices (200-300% margin). All 12 BB releases have been priced the same from the distributor.
