We have a rich past. Lots of good times. Giants had 50+ years of heartbreak and only within the last few years have experienced success.

Now this is funny...especially the rich past part.

    World Series Championships
    Giants - 8
    Doyers - 6

What was that about a rich past again? This guy

Also, I believe the correct pronunciation is "doy-ers". Or so I've been told, I never go to "doy-er" games since they became parolee hangout spots. Go Halo's!

They have only been the "doy-ers" for the last 10-15 years. And I was referring to the most recent iterations. La and sf, since this is the Pacific forum (not the ny) pretty sure it's 5 to 3 since then and we never went 50+ years without a championship.

Also, let's not talk about places paroles's hang out mr. Stabby-stabby ang-hells fan.

Back to beer though... unfortunately the DDG, and Veritas beers are the only real limited's worth anything here to me, and it's pretty obvious Lost Abbey knows that is most likely the case with most people. I know of a couple places that had vintages of both Red Poppy and Framboise de Amarosa collecting dust... Nothing against the other's, but IMO it comes down to paying $100 a pop for the obvously more desireable beers.

These bundles are selling, so I am in the minority. Also, I should add I have no problem with people buying these beers, it's just over my threshold.

Fair enough. Yeah. It was pricy.

If you know places with old red poppy collecting dust pm me. Would love to grab some for the old lady.

And it's not any worse than Firestone vintage beers. Those things are crazy expensive

Well, to me it seemed like the Rudolph package was a great deal so I got it. As I understand the DDG runs $40 and the framboise de amorosa and deliverance run $20 each for the newer 2015's. I figure the bourbon angels share runs ~$20 too so that's $100 for the included beers. I've never had any of them so don't have to buy the 2015 versions (of FdA or deliverance) now. 3/4 of the beers rate at least 94/100 if I'm not mistaken and DDG is 100/100 so they're all quality beers. I tried to trade for a DDG recently and offered up (forgive me if I remember incorrectly but I couldn't find my exact trade thread) every gem I have and got nothing but crickets.... a potential deal that included my ADTWD, Kern Citra and BA Ten Fidy and allowing them to choose one more from: Beatification, Aurelian Lure, FFAC, Rare Barrel, SARA, or Cantillon with an extra of Pliny or blind pig. It was gonna cost me a fortune any way u look at it... At least this way I got to keep my dignity and my own personal Whales that took a lot of resources and time to obtain. And now my buddy and I are going to have an amazing brewery hopping road trip to go pick these guys up.

That's how I felt about buying the DDG. It'll likely "cost" you more than $100 worth of beer to land a bottle if you can find someone to trade one.

The secondary market price for DDG goes for around $160-$180; so If I could pay $150 for it and get three extra beers with it, I was game. I do acknowledge it's a good amount of cash for beer, but it's the holidays Enjoy Yo Self.

Well crap, I'm going to SD on the 13th. Heads up Lost Abbey customer service, I need an exemption to save the Earth from unnecessary carbon emission exposure.

This guy is just begging me to ask him for an exemption so he can continue to stare, not even bothering to actually murmur the words "no". But I did send the email just in case. ;-)
