Right? Unbelievable. People are denouncing Kane and telling people to never go there again. Because they're children who didn't get the beer that 14,000 people wanted. But it's okay, because they're entitled to it. Idiots.

I love the people that want the limits dropped to 1. So instead of it being 10 seconds it would be 20 seconds until it sold out. Still 14,000 hits looking for 1,000 tickets.

This is so much easier than last year. People who got shut out didn't waste more than 10 minutes instead of 4 hours. This was in all ways a lottery. BPT is not a shitty website, that is a HUGE influx of traffic in a short amount of time and it really didn't crash. I'm kinda impressed.

Next year I hope they say fuck you all and send the bottles to distro. Kane cannot win in this ANTEAD scenario so go be mad at bottle shops instead of Kane. Send it to 50 stores and let them sort it out instead of being berated on Facebook for weeks.

Not sure on numbers but maybe it's an even amount of original and the variants since the allotment was the same? I'm interested on a tap list myself. Secured two bottles from a friend of mine that I've helped out with other releases he couldn't make.

I'm not on FB but someone was telling me it's crazy. It really is just a beer. I have a bunch of great stouts waiting to be consumed at home. This beer isn't the end all be all.

The funny thing is that half the people denouncing kane will be going nuts to try and get it next year anyway. People just need to grow the hell up and get over it. Yelling at kane and ripping them on Facebook like teenage girls isn't helping the problem. Only makes the beer community look bad as a whole. .....Plus big bad baptist is in the area now. And it's not the same but a damn good substitute and decently easy to get.

For all those wanting a ticketing system, you got it. And what comes with it. Anyone with the time and money to travel to NJ on sunday was there looking for tickets. People would have a harder time justifying the travel, with unknown bottle counts or limits, but Kane has created a monster now with this release. I hope they are able to increase production, cause the demand will only get worse.

All those FB comments are really sad.

But based on what I heard. I will drop by and fill a couple of growlers of overhead. It's great to have that as a fallback

They should just start selling the bottles tomorrow night with no announcement
Sell out by Saturday and avoid Sundays nightmare

I keep hearing nightmare Sunday but is it going to be really? The line out the back for the remaining bottles yes but for those picking up it can't be bad besides maybe parking. I hope Kane is smart enough to announce a parking and lining up plan in advance. Other wise there will be a mob in the back of the warehouse

Judging by how angry people are over this, people picking up their allotment might want a police escort in and out of the building.

Why should they? They do what people were clamoring for and they get torn to shreds. If I was them I wouldn't announce anything and day of only sell one total case to the first person and say sorry sold out. The amount of whining and complaining over something so trivial as beer is mind blowing.

While yes, I agree this event shows how incredible stupid 2015 Beer has become, and how savage people can be, we all know it's not going to stop. And for the record, I'm simply just curious, I couldn't do this release regardless of whether I won or not.

I feel the problem isn't Kane. It's frankly the NY/NJ self entitlement issues.

Whats the answer? Kane announces a Membership Society next week for 2016 and a bunch of people from other states line up before the "locals" and the loyal Kane every week customer is still upset? They do memberships online and again out of state people buy up all the membership. You can't prevent people from buying something. You can't restrict who you sell too.

I do agree. If you're there to support them from the start and get shut out from this its tough. I'll feel the same way when I get shut out of Other Half BA Stouts, as I did when I didn't get Street Green. That being said I don't get to Kane as much as some b/c I live in Brooklyn, but the ticketed way worked out for me today. I like the idea of tracking money spent at the brewery and making sure the top people get some, and then the rest go to a ticketed approach. No way to make everyone happy though.

I was at Carton Saturday picking up 4 shipwreck porters:

I can have an opinion about the way something is done and still support them. I said it in my posts about Carton. Nice job coming from left field with your snarky comment but there a lot of people here saying the same things. In the end I'll get over this and continue supporting them as I have since day one.

I hear they'll be checking IDs to cross reference online purchases. Not sure how valid it is, but would totally make sense if they do.

Initially I was hoping that was the case, but it's gonna make that line take absolutely forever if they have to take your id and stare at a list of 500 names to check if it's on there. The Kane line moves slow as it is and this would make it pretty brutal
