Not as good as the mango or grapefruit, but still damn good. Excited about this.

Jack got me. Yeah, I was being a little snotty, but meant no harm. I do think these days $16 for a sixer of a first-rate beer is not too bad compared to what many of us will regularly pay for bombers. And I'm not just (or particularly) talking about crazy BA stuff.

"Natural pineapple flavors" meaning not actual pineapple.

I live 70 miles from the brewery and Sculpin is still $16 a Sixpack.... Worth it though

I do wonder if it will be in cans as well, ala Grapefruit, or just in bottles, ala Habanero...

According to Bil over at MBB, "This beer will hit 12oz bottles (and kegs--and I’m told cans) and the beer swims in at 7%-AbV."

Any guesses as to what the next fruit variety will be? I'm going Mango Sculpin.

This past summer, a dollop of pineapple juice in an Odell IPA was my jam.
I am totally down with the idea of a pineapple Sculpin.
    Bring that bidness ON.

I'll like it but hate how it rots on the shelves now hard to find anything relatively fresh seen some GF that were bottled in May collecting dust. It's not exclusive to one store either which sucks

    Grapefruits & Pineapples (pun intended)

Bourbon County is once a year and far more decadent, chewy, and delicious. It's for special occasions. No comparison here.

Grapefruit Sculpin is readily available here and priced at $15. Do I want to pay $15 bucks for a 6 pk every week? Nope, and I don't. Would I if it came out once a year, yep.

In their press release about the purchase they said they were going to do Mango Even Keel, Watermelon Dorado and Pineapple Sculpin.
    1. Take existing beer.
    2. Mix in "All Natural [insert fruit name here] Flavoring WONF." (WONF = with other natural flavors)
    3. Voila. New product. Just like Shock Top, but with a better base beer.

I really hope that the Pineapple Sculpin is as good as I expect. I wasn't able to try it because it sold out so quickly, but I did manage to try the others.

Mango Even Keel was decent, nothing to get too excited about. I am just not much of an Even Keel fan. It doesn't have a lot of flavor, so adding the mango to this base gave it a little bit of a twist and took it up a notch. This is still unmistakably Even Keel, so if you are a fan, you will probably like it.

Watermelon Dorado was not good, IMO. It was like a big, boozy Hell or High Watermelon. The Dorado was completely lost in a mess of watermelon.

Last night I was at a Ballast Point tasting and the sales rep said said this is likely going to be a summer or late spring release. He also said there is going to be a fruity version of Even Keel and Dorado coming as well. I forget the specific fruit for each one.

I paid 9.99 for all my bourbon county, except the pair that I got for 9.09. But its also Barrel Aged, which is way more expensive than dry hopping a beer. And nearly twice the ABV.
