I've been hoping for this for a while, but I doubt that it will happen. Blowing it all out in 1 day versus the mechanics of a huge festival or series of weekends at the brewery... I just don't think it makes sense logistically.

I'd be perfectly happy with this. Of course the traders would be crying

Yup, selling out in a day allows them to purchase more barrels for next year, and reinvest in the brewery. stretching it out all year really just is them losing money.

No more walk up sales. Now holding lottery for the remaining bottles per Kane's FB.

    For those w/o FB:

    Kane Brewing Company
    2 mins · Asbury Park, NJ ·
We will not be doing the walk-up sale for the remaining bottles on Sunday. Instead, we will be holding a lottery for the remaining bottles. We cannot safely, and in an organized manor, accommodate what is sure to be a larger than initially expected walk-up crowd along with the ticketed purchases. This will also ensure that ticketed purchasers do not have the opportunity to get additional bottles.

If you are still interested in bottles, send us an email at [email protected]. Include in the email: your name, address and phone number. You can email us anytime between now and Monday morning at 9am. No priority will be given to the time of receipt of your email as long it’s received by the Monday morning deadline.

The lottery is for the opportunity to purchase a set that includes: A Night to End All Dawns, Cocoa and Coconut (3 total bottles). The pick-up and payment for these bottles will be Saturday, December 19th between 12-5pm at the brewery only. Please don't enter if you can't be here to pick up that day. We will randomly select names and email you if you were selected. You will be notified by Tuesday December 16th. If you already purchased a ticket do not enter the lottery (we will cross reference with our ticket list). Please only send one email—we will delete any duplicates names.

I feel like I'm a glass case of emotion. This has been quite funny.

Kudos to Kane, best way to deal with a bad situation,

Needless to say, I will be camped out a 4AM Sunday morning hoping for a 32 oz fill of Hop Lab Azzaca...

Email sent. Who wants to guess how many emails they get? I'll say 7500.

Wish the lottery was for pickup this Sunday. But I'll gladly head back down if I get it. Not complaining. Just convenience for me.

So not only do they make it fair(er), they prevent doubling up. Great job to make everyone happy(er).

I do wonder about any remaining regular, because you have to think they have more reg than the variants. Maybe they said "fuck this" and are putting it to distro.

This also gives them time to recirculate those that won't get picked up this Sunday.

Wonder if there will be any scalping going on this Sunday. People with disposable income just hanging around offering 3-4X the cost for a pack.

I was partially making a joke since Parhelion is from used ANTEAD barrels. But, yes, I love the Citra and the Azacca.

Side note: I'm a local. I was shut out on other releases. Disappointing, yes, but it happens. I'm happy for their success.

Line up at Kane -> People get pissed at Campers
Change to BPT - > People are pissed at Website not loading
Do a Lottery -> People pissed locals now contend with everyone with travel distance

Seems like Kane is just throwing every method at the wall. Maybe I'm the only one who finds it fun to line up and meet new people, oh well, I'll enjoy by BA BQE.

There is no perfect system. The lottery is flawed too. Now everyone can get all of their friends and family to join the lottery for them who are willing to just travel and pick up a beer for them. So some people will have 1 entry and some people will have 20 entries... Maybe even more. People will bitch and complain no matter what.

you sure did prove that to be correct. this is the most fair system- but maybe not the best.

I am not complaining and not sure how you read that as complaining. I am just stating a fact.
